Revelation 20 vs 7-15

Revelation Chapter 20 Verses 7 – 8
•For a thousand years, Jesus Himself, spysically, God on earth, right alongside of mankind, governing the affairs of the earth and fellowshipping with Creation…for a thousand years. And all the while, Satan has been bound, imprisoned and inactive. Now, John tells us that Satan will be released for the purpose of deceiving the nations.
•This is wild. It’s like deja vu. Why? The scenario is exactly once again just like it was all the way back at the dawn of creation in the perfect Garden God had put in order for the originals. This is the same exact scenario. Why? Why go down this path again? Because, commitment without choice, is not commitment at all. And faith that is not tested…is not faith at all.
•These nations…remember, there are only three types of beings on the earth at this time. The spirituals (angels, host of heaven), the physicals (those that have somehow survived the Great Tribulation), and the spysicals (those that had died in Christ whether before or during the Great Tribulation and those that had been included in the rapture). And so, the nations of the earth speak of those that really have made no decision for Christ…they are just there…or…perhaps they had been born during the thousand-year millennial reign of Christ.
•No Satan to contend with…but just like Adam and Even in the Garden, they still have this thing called “free will” that under the righteous reign of Jesus Christ, they really have not had the opportunity to exercise….living in enforced righteousness and peace because there’s no other choice…those that have not yet had the opportunity to decide whether or not to follow the Lord…and what blows me away…even though God Himself has been their King…their lives have been filled with nothing but goodness and peace, many will choose to reject Jesus… We find that out in the next verse!
•No matter how good your life can get, if you don’t simply love the Lord…you’ll still be lost… These people live with Jesus as their literal King…ruling and reigning over their day…but without a choice of commitment, there’s no love and if there’s no love then there’s no real relationship! Many turn on him and are seemingly easily deceived!
•And so yes, I’m concerned very much with your days and with your trials and with your homes being at peace and with you being at peace but I am eternally more concerned with your connection, your walk, your relationship with the Lord…one on one. That’s why the answer to any question…how can I be a better wife? How can I love her more? How can I respect him more? How can I be a better parent, a better friend…how can I best handle this situation? The answer is always…grow in your relationship with Jesus…or make a choice of commitment…in the moment and in your life! That’s where the power is!
•Apparently, clearly, biblically…it’s not in the righteous lifestyle…isn’t that amazing!? The spirit rules the flesh…and the center of the spirit is the heart…and so if your treasure is in earthly things, religious righteousness, outward peace, happiness or whatever then so too is your heart…and its an easy target. But commitment of choice and choice of commitment, devotion of heart to your one-on-one relationship with the Lord…and you become a fortified wisdom-filled joy-saturated Christian!
•And so, Satan will be loosed to try the nations one last time, why? Because God is love and love requires a choice. If April married me because I was the only man left on earth then that marriage would not be based on love but on the absence of any other choice…so too, God gives choice to each and every person…this is why ultra-Calvinism, irresistible grace, universalism…this is all bad doctrine because it actually removes God’s love from the equation…because it removes choice…
•And John mentions Gog and Magog here which is odd because we know from Ezekiel 38 and 39 that Russia has already been destroyed and so I believe this is a spiritual title, not a physical title but rather the title given to the people who choose Satan, those that oppose Is-ra-el, or the governed of God, just as Gog and Magog had done, although scripture does leave room in Ezekiel for this to be sort of Gog and Magog revived by the deception of the enemy…
Revelation Chapter 20 Verses 9 – 10
•Why surround the beloved city? Because Jesus is there…so they are deceived to the point that they come against the Lord, which happens to people every day…anytime a Spirit-filled Christian chooses the flesh over the spirit, that is to come against the Lord…and in one moment they are consumed and their leader is done away with once and for all. There it is, the demise of the evil one…one verse, that’s all he’s worth…
Revelation Chapter 20 Verses 11 – 13
•Who’s this? Are these believers? Those that accepted Jesus as their Savior? Nope! Very clear here in verse 13, “The sea gave up the dead who were in it (so these are not they that have lived these 1,000 years), and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them….and each one is judged according to his works.” It is very clear…and this is the judgement of works unto salvation. Not for the believer…the Bible is clear, the doctrine of salvation by grace through faith is preeminent throughout. Ephesians 2:8–9 is clear, “For by grace you have been saved (salvation from what? This white throne judgement and it’s result!) through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”
•So, will believers stand before this white throne judgement? No. If you’re a Christian, this judgement doesn’t apply to you. You see, you were judged when Christ was on another throne, not a white one, a wooden one. He wore a crown not of gold but of thorns and as He took the judgment upon Himself for your sins and for my sins, He cleansed us from all of them and saved us from this…adding your name to the Book of Life…
•So, will believers be judged in any capacity? Absolutely! Hebrews 9:27, “It is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgement.” But for the believer, the saved, those that God has cast their sin as far as the east is from the west, the White Throne Judgement is not the judgement for you. There is another…
•Romans 14:10 says, “Why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.” And Romans 14:12 says that, “Each of us shall give account of himself to God.”
•2 Corinthians 5:9 says, “Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” So, what does this mean for the believer? All made clear in 1 Corinthians 3:9-15…
•“For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.”
•Will the saved, the believer be judged for absolutely every moment of their life? Yes. But not unto salvation…that was secured for you by Jesus Christ…you have Salvation Pre-Check, if you will…you will be judged unto crowns, rewards, and eternal identity.
•Who will you be for all of eternity? You won’t be her husband, you won’t be the COO of a company, you won’t be the professor of the university, you won’t be the police officer, the father of your kids or the son of your parents…who you will be for all of eternity in the kingdom of God will be determined by your faithfulness and heart for the Lord during your life. Hence the rewards…and for all of eternity, Luke 8:17, “Nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light.” Unto loss or unto reward. Every second counts…that is the judgement of the saint.
•So how long is this judgment? This judgement of works to see if anyone is worthy based on their own goodness of heaven? A split-second…no matter how many good works, if one bad…lost…each person, a split second…and the wages of sin are death…
Revelation Chapter 20 Verses 14 – 15
•All the old is over. It’s all done. Satan, evil, sin, the fallen…gone, all cast into the Lake of Fire. The Bible speaks of the lake of fire as outer darkness, constant burning, filled with worms that eat the flesh, weeping and gnashing of teeth, eternal separation…how can it be all those things? There is no sun. There is no water. There is no morning…even the fire is not comparable to the fire we know. This fire burns dark… No party. No Sex, drugs and rock and roll…eternally alone man and eternally buried in fire…
•Entire movements today reject the doctrine of hell…studies vary but most of them point to a large portion of Christians that don’t believe in hell…I don’t care. Jesus didn’t care. The Bible doesn’t care what man says or believes. It’s right here, plain as day…but these folks partner with atheists and universalists and speak of how can a God of love create a place so vastly horrible and I say to them, how can you accept Jesus’ sacrifice as payment for your sin, yet reject the very hell He saved you from? You see you’ve missed that love offers choice. You’ve missed the hell of the cross of Christ…and ultimately, where they’re going is to the root of that false doctrine…the rejection of the cross…you cannot accept salvation through the cross of Christ and yet reject eternal penalty…you arrive at either universalism or straight up rejection of the blood of Jesus…
•No, what Jesus did for you and for me was heavy…real and worthy of our attention because He saved us…from this…and it’s all done now…next chapter opens up with all things made new…the end of the story for many, the beginning for many…which will it be for you?



Apocalipsis Capítulo 20 Versículos 7 - 8
●Durante mil años, el mismo Jesús, en forma físico/espiritual, Dios en la tierra, justo al lado de la humanidad, gobernó los asuntos de la tierra y tuvo comunión con la Creación ... durante mil años. Y mientras tanto, Satanás ha estado atado, encarcelado e inactivo. Ahora, Juan nos dice que Satanás será liberado con el propósito de engañar a las naciones.
●Esto es salvaje. Es como un deja vu. ¿Por qué? El escenario es exactamente una vez más como lo fue en los albores de la creación en el Jardín perfecto que Dios había puesto en orden para los originales. Este es exactamente el mismo escenario. ¿Por qué? ¿Por qué volver a recorrer este camino? Porque, compromiso sin elección, no es compromiso en absoluto. Y la fe que no es probada... no es fe en absoluto.
●Estas naciones... recuerden, solo hay tres tipos de seres en la tierra en este momento. Los espirituales (ángeles, huestes del cielo), los físicos (aquellos que de alguna manera han sobrevivido a la Gran Tribulación) y los físicos/espirituales (aquellos que murieron en Cristo antes o durante la Gran Tribulación y aquellos que habían sido incluidos en el rapto). Y así, las naciones de la tierra hablan de aquellos que realmente no han tomado ninguna decisión por Cristo... simplemente están allí ... o ... quizás habían nacido durante el reinado milenario de Cristo de mil años.
●Sin Satanás con quien lidiar... pero al igual que Adán e incluso en el jardín, todavía tienen esta cosa llamada "libre albedrío" que bajo el reinado justo de Jesucristo, realmente no han tenido la oportunidad de ejercer... vivir en justicia impuesta y paz porque no hay otra opción... aquellos que aún no han tenido la oportunidad de decidir si seguir o no al Señor... y lo que me impresiona... a pesar de que Dios mismo ha sido su Rey... sus vidas han estado llenas de nada más que bondad y paz, muchos optarán por rechazar a Jesús... ¡Lo descubrimos en el siguiente versículo!
●No importa cuán buena pueda ser tu vida, si no amas simplemente al Señor... aún estarás perdido... Estas personas viven con Jesús como su Rey literal ... gobernando y reinando sobre su día... pero sin una opción de compromiso, ¡No hay amor y si no hay amor, entonces no hay una relación real! ¡Muchos se vuelven contra él y aparentemente son engañados fácilmente!
●Y entonces sí, estoy muy preocupado por sus días y por sus pruebas y por que sus hogares estén en paz y ustedes estén en paz, pero estoy eternamente más preocupado por su conexión, su caminar, su relación con el Señor... uno en uno. Por eso la respuesta a cualquier pregunta... ¿cómo puedo ser una mejor esposa? ¿Cómo puedo amarla más? ¿Cómo puedo respetarlo más? ¿Cómo puedo ser un mejor padre, un mejor amigo... cómo puedo manejar mejor esta situación? La respuesta es siempre... crecer en su relación con Jesús... o hacer una elección de compromiso... ¡en el momento y en su vida! ¡Ahí es donde está el poder!
●Aparentemente, claramente, bíblicamente... no está en el estilo de vida recto... ¿¡No es asombroso!? El espíritu gobierna la carne... y el centro del espíritu es el corazón... así que si tu tesoro está en las cosas terrenales, justicia religiosa, paz exterior, felicidad o lo que sea, entonces también lo es tu corazón... y es un blanco fácil. Pero compromiso de elección y elección de compromiso, devoción de corazón a su relación personal con el Señor... ¡y se convierte en un cristiano fortalecido, lleno de sabiduría y saturado de gozo!
●Y entonces, Satanás será liberado para probar las naciones una última vez, ¿por qué? Porque Dios es amor y el amor requiere una elección. Si April se casara conmigo porque yo era el único hombre que quedaba en la tierra, entonces ese matrimonio no se basaría en el amor sino en la ausencia de cualquier otra opción... así también, Dios le da a elegir a todas y cada una de las personas... por eso el ultracalvinismo, gracia irresistible, universalismo ... todo esto es una mala doctrina porque en realidad elimina el amor de Dios de la ecuación ... porque elimina la elección ...
●Y Juan menciona a Gog y Magog aquí, lo cual es extraño porque sabemos por Ezequiel 38 y 39 que Rusia ya ha sido destruida y, por lo tanto, creo que este es un título espiritual, no un título físico, sino el título dado a las personas que eligen a Satanás, aquellos que se oponen a Is-ra-el, o los gobernados por Dios, tal como lo habían hecho Gog y Magog, aunque las escrituras dejan espacio en Ezequiel para que esto sea una especie de Gog y Magog revividos por el engaño del enemigo...
Apocalipsis Capítulo 20 Versículos 9-10
●¿Por qué rodear la amada ciudad? Porque Jesús está allí... entonces son engañados hasta el punto de que vienen contra el Señor, lo que le sucede a la gente todos los días... cada vez que un cristiano lleno del Espíritu elige la carne sobre el espíritu, es decir, contra el Señor... y en uno momento son consumidos y su líder es eliminado de una vez por todas. Ahí está, la desaparición del maligno... un verso, eso es todo lo que vale...
Apocalipsis Capítulo 20 Versículos 11-13
●¿Quién es éste? ¿Son estos creyentes? ¿Aquellos que aceptaron a Jesús como su Salvador? ¡No! Muy claro aquí en el versículo 13, “El mar entregó los muertos que estaban en él (así que estos no son los que han vivido estos 1,000 años), y la Muerte y el Hades entregaron los muertos que estaban en ellos… .y cada uno es juzgado según sus obras". Es muy claro... y este es el juicio de obras para salvación. No para el creyente... la Biblia es clara, la doctrina de la salvación por gracia a través de la fe es preeminente en todo momento. Efesios 2: 8–9 es claro: “Porque por gracia habéis sido salvos (¿salvación de qué? ¡Este juicio del trono blanco y su resultado!) Por medio de la fe, y no de vosotros mismos; es don de Dios, no de obras, para que nadie se gloríe”.
●Entonces, ¿estarán los creyentes ante este juicio del trono blanco? No. Si eres cristiano, este juicio no se aplica a ti. Verás, fuiste juzgado cuando Cristo estaba en otro trono, no uno blanco, uno de madera. No llevaba una corona de oro, sino de espinas y cuando tomó el juicio sobre sí mismo por sus pecados y por los míos, nos limpió de todos ellos y nos salvó de esto... añadiendo su nombre al Libro de la Vida...
●Entonces, ¿los creyentes serán juzgados en alguna capacidad? ¡Absolutamente! Hebreos 9:27, "Está establecido que los hombres mueran una sola vez, pero después de esto el juicio". Pero para el creyente, los salvos, aquellos a quienes Dios ha arrojado su pecado tan lejos como el este del oeste, el Juicio del Trono Blanco no es el juicio para usted. Hay otro…
●Romanos 14:10 dice: “¿Por qué juzgas a tu hermano? ¿O por qué desprecias a tu hermano? Porque todos estaremos ante el tribunal de Cristo". Y Romanos 14:12 dice que, "Cada uno de nosotros dará cuenta de sí mismo a Dios".
●2 Corintios 5: 9 dice: “Por tanto, nuestra meta, presente o ausente, es agradarle. Porque es necesario que todos comparezcamos ante el tribunal de Cristo, para que cada uno reciba según lo que haya hecho en el cuerpo, sea bueno o malo”. Entonces, ¿qué significa esto para el creyente? Todo aclarado en 1 Corintios 3: 9-15...
●“Porque somos colaboradores de Dios; eres el campo de Dios, eres el edificio de Dios. Según la gracia de Dios que me fue dada, como maestro constructor puse el fundamento, y otro edifica sobre él. Pero que cada uno preste atención a cómo se basa en ello. Porque nadie puede poner otro fundamento que el que está puesto, el cual es Jesucristo. Ahora bien, si alguno edifica sobre este fundamento con oro, plata, piedras preciosas, madera, heno, paja, la obra de cada uno se aclarará; porque el Día lo declarará, porque será revelado por el fuego; y el fuego pondrá a prueba el trabajo de cada uno, sea del tipo que sea. Si perdura la obra de alguno que sobreedificó, recibirá recompensa. Si se quema la obra de alguien, sufrirá pérdida; pero él mismo se salvará, pero como por fuego”.
●¿Serán juzgados los salvos, los creyentes, absolutamente en cada momento de su vida? Si. Pero no para la salvación... que fue asegurada para ti por Jesucristo... tienes la Verificación Previa de Salvación, si quieres ... serás juzgado con coronas, recompensas e identidad eterna.
●¿Quién serás por toda la eternidad? No serás su marido, no serás el director de operaciones de una empresa, no serás el profesor de la universidad, no serás el policía, el padre de tus hijos o el hijo de tus padres. … Quién serás por toda la eternidad en el reino de Dios será determinado por tu fidelidad y corazón por el Señor durante tu vida. De ahí las recompensas... y por toda la eternidad, Lucas 8:17, "Nada es secreto que no será revelado, ni nada oculto que no será conocido y saldrá a la luz". Para perder o para recompensa. Cada segundo cuenta... ese es el juicio del santo.
●Entonces, ¿cuánto dura este juicio? ¿Este juicio de obras para ver si alguien es digno basado en su propia bondad del cielo? Una fracción de segundo... no importa cuántas buenas obras, si una mala... se pierde... cada persona, una fracción de segundo... y la paga del pecado es la muerte...
Apocalipsis Capítulo 20 Versículos 14-15
●Todo lo viejo se acabó. Todo está hecho. Satanás, el mal, el pecado, los caídos... se fueron, todos arrojados al lago de fuego. La Biblia habla del lago de fuego como oscuridad exterior, ardor constante, lleno de gusanos que comen la carne, llanto y crujir de dientes, separación eterna… ¿cómo pueden ser todas esas cosas? No hay sol. No hay agua. No hay mañana... ni siquiera el fuego es comparable al fuego que conocemos. Este fuego arde oscuro... No hay fiesta. Sin sexo, drogas y rock and roll... hombre eternamente solo y eternamente enterrado en el fuego ...
●Hoy en día, movimientos enteros rechazan la doctrina del infierno... los estudios varían, pero la mayoría apunta a una gran parte de los cristianos que no creen en el infierno... no me importa. A Jesús no le importaba. A la Biblia no le importa lo que el hombre dice o cree. Está justo aquí, claro como el día... pero estas personas se asocian con ateos y universalistas y hablan de cómo un Dios de amor puede crear un lugar tan inmensamente horrible y yo les digo, ¿cómo pueden aceptar el sacrificio de Jesús como pago por su pecado? sin embargo, ¿rechazas el mismísimo infierno del que te salvó? Ves que te has perdido que el amor ofrece opciones. Te has perdido el infierno de la cruz de Cristo... y, en última instancia, a dónde van es a la raíz de esa falsa doctrina... el rechazo de la cruz... no puedes aceptar la salvación a través de la cruz de Cristo y, sin embargo, rechazar la pena eterna... llegas al universalismo o al rechazo directo de la sangre de Jesús...
●No, lo que Jesús hizo por ti y por mí fue pesado... real y digno de nuestra atención porque Él nos salvó... de esto... y todo está hecho ahora... el próximo capítulo comienza con todas las cosas renovadas... el final de la historia para muchos, el comienzo para muchos… ¿cuál será para ti?
