Isaiah 6 vs 1-13

Isaiah Chapter 6 Verse 1
•There’s a bit of comfort here I believe in this statement/account of Isaiah. Isaiah was probably pretty down about Uzziah. Uzziah became king when he was only 16 years old and he had reigned for 52 years and overall, he was a great king. 2 Kings 15:3-4 says if him, “He did what was right in the sight of the Lord, except that the high places were not removed; the people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places.”
•He was also a mighty king, a strong leader for the nation as we read in 2 Chronicles 26:8, that “his fame spread as far as the entrance of Egypt, for he became exceedingly strong.” Here’s the heart-break though is that he didn’t finish well. 2 Chronicles 26:16 says, “But when he was strong his heart was lifted up, to his destruction, for he transgressed against the Lord his God by entering the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense.”
•The one thing he didn’t take care of, didn’t address beginning when he was 16 and the for the next 52 years, ended up being the thing that destroyed him. This whole subject of incense burning. God struck him with leprosy and he died in isolation. And the temple, it was defiled. The nation was humiliated. The prophet Isaiah, probably devastated.
•But God encourages him. And gives him this vision of the throne of God, high and lifted up, above the high places, and the train of His robe filled the temple, signifying to Isaiah that God’s holiness is far above and beyond and more powerful than the defiling of man, even the king. This was probably a moment of intense personal restoration and reinvigoration for Isaiah. I mean, let along he is seeing a vision of the Lord!
•Isaiah, where was I when all of this horrible stuff was happening? When the king was sinning, when the temple was falling, when the people were grieving? God was and is on the throne, soaring above the storm, still in charge, and still with him. And nothing has changed.
Isaiah Chapter 6 Verse 2
•So, we have a new term here for angel in “seraphim.” This is the only book and chapter that we pick up this term in all of the Bible for angels. So, lets explore just for a moment the different type of angels in the Bible.
•Ok primary information here, angels are created beings, separate and different from human beings. Nehemiah 9:6 says, “You alone are the Lord; You have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host…,” and Colossians 1:16 says, “For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.”
•So, angels are created beings and they were created, creation of all angles, was completed prior to the creation of humans. Job 38:4-7 says, “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding. Who determined its measurements? Surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? To what were its foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone, when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God (a reference to angels) shouted for joy?”
•So, angels are created beings, different from humans as Hebrews 1:14 says that all angels are “ministering spirits,” created prior to human beings, (so, very important conclusion, when someone dies, no matter how holy they are, they do not become and angel.), and today they fall into two main categories; fallen and unfallen.
•In the category of fallen angels, we have two classes. One class is reserved under chains of darkness until the day of judgment according to the Books of Jude and 2 Peter. Second class are referred to as demons and they are right here, on earth, albeit spirit.
•Of the holy angels, or the “unfallen” angels, Biblically we have Cherubim and Seraphim. Cherubim seem to be protective of God’s holiness and protectors against defilement as we see in Genesis 3:24, “So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way of the tree of life.” It was also Cherubim that were constructed to sit at the two ends of the mercy seat.
•Seraphim are similar, maybe even the same, but it appears their primary function is to praise God and declare His holiness. There are also angels such as the angels that hung out with Lot, were at the tomb of Jesus and that declared the coming of the Savior. Cherubim, Seraphim? We don’t know. Not given to us in the scriptures. And we also have three angels named in the Bible; Lucifer…, Gabriel and Michael who is given the title the “Archangel” or the leader of angels.
•In all of scripture, this is all that we have…which honestly is very very little. Any name of any angel other than the three I’ve given is entirely unbiblical and what we are to know is what we have. In fact, Paul even warned us about angels in the Book of Galatians saying in Galatians 1:8, “If we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.”
Isaiah Chapter 6 Verses 3 – 5
•All of the last chapter was Isaiah the prophet declaring woes upon the people that have rejected God and now he pivots from them to me. Woe is me he says as he hears the chorus of the holy angles and sees the throne of God.
•Someone once said, when you truly see God, you truly see yourself. There is a great humility that MUST be present in anyone who has truly encountered God. It’s just the way it is. If someone is lacking humility then it is almost certain that they haven’t truly encountered God.
•It’s like this. No matter how good of a golfer you are, go a few rounds with Tiger. No matter how good of a free-throw shot you’ve got… play a game alongside of Michael Jordan. You’re not going to be talking smack…you’re going to be humble… How much more when you encounter the Creator who in the light of His perfection and might and holiness loves you and calls for you with the same measure of perfection, might and holiness?
Isaiah Chapter 6 Verses 6 – 8
•I love this. A confession of sinfulness, a proactive confession from Isaiah is met with remedy and then immediately Isaiah is fully qualified to speak on behalf of God. There is so much going on there…
•First, this proactive move on the part of Isaiah is everything… God or anyone can tell you all day over and over again what you need to do and what they truly desire from you, and in that there is great sadness…because if you loved the Lord, if you loved them…whoever is making that request of you…they would NEVER have to ask (or maybe just once). And in this moment of Isaiah stepping forward, “God you don’t even have to say it, I’m so with You, I’m going to say it…” God answers immediately with total remedy.
•Ok translate that to current situation… If you have a boss or a co-worker or a subordinate or a kiddo or a spouse or a friend that has to constantly ask or remind you tell you or point something out…then, one day, because you care, you stop them by doing it before they have to ask or say anything, in that moment, love is revealed. Please recognize that. So so so few do and then they try to say they care…, and I know they do, but man its hard to believe and be comforted by care when the person saying it is making you so very sad because that care is either false or unrevealed….
•And the moment Isaiah leaves his position to come to God’s perspective, in that very moment…Isaiah is entirely qualified to speak on the part of God. What qualifies you and me to serve as unto God and in God’s place on earth…NOTHING but this!
Isaiah Chapter 6 Verses 9 – 13
•Essentially what God is saying to Isaiah is for him to go and as he becomes discouraged, to keep going. You’re going to speak the truth, they won’t hear. You’re going to show them the truth. For the most part, they won’t see…but God will send a small remnant that will and make that everything!
•Now, John references Isaiah 6 directly in John 12:37-41… And the message truly was that if you don’t want to believe, not only will you not, but you simply can’t. Why? Because it takes faith to have faith…
•But also, who is the Him in John 12? According to John 12:44, “Then Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me.” And so, we have an awesome revelation. Who is the speaking to Isaiah in Isaiah 6? Upon the throne? According to the Bible, it’s Jesus Christ…
•Jesus is Lord. He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and the thing separating us from so much progress and goodness and blessing and love and joy is that positive proactive confession (the Biblical term for that is FAITH) towards God from your heart of heart directly to Him. Jesus, You, are Lord…and I will hear and understand…and I will see and perceive, because I believe, I care…because I want to!


Isaías Capítulo 6 Versículo 1
· Hay un poco de consuelo aquí, creo en esta declaración / relato de Isaías. Isaías probablemente estaba bastante deprimido acerca de Uzías. · Lo único de lo que no se ocupó, no abordó a partir de los 16 años y durante los siguientes 52 años, terminó siendo lo que lo destruyó. Todo este tema de la quema de incienso. Dios lo golpeó con lepra y murió aislado. Y el templo, estaba contaminado. La nación fue humillada. El profeta Isaías, probablemente devastado.
· Pero Dios lo anima. Y le da esta visión del trono de Dios, alto y elevado, por encima de los lugares altos, y el tren de Su túnica llenó el templo, significando para Isaías que la santidad de Dios está muy por encima y más allá y más poderosa que la profanación del hombre, incluso del rey. Este fue probablemente un momento de intensa restauración personal y revitalización para Isaías. Quiero decir, ¡que él esté viendo una visión del Señor!
· Isaías, ¿dónde estaba yo cuando todas estas cosas horribles estaban sucediendo? ¿Cuándo el rey estaba pecando, cuando el templo estaba cayendo, cuando la gente estaba de luto? Dios estaba y está en el trono, elevándose por encima de la tormenta, todavía a cargo, y todavía con él. Y nada ha cambiado.
Isaías Capítulo 6 Versículo 2
· Entonces, tenemos un nuevo término aquí para ángel en "serafines". Este es el único libro y capítulo que recogemos este término en toda la Biblia para los ángeles. Entonces, exploremos solo por un momento los diferentes tipos de ángeles en la Biblia.
· Ok información primaria aquí, los ángeles son seres creados, separados y diferentes de los seres humanos. Nehemías 9:6 dice: "Sólo tú eres el Señor; Has hecho el cielo, el cielo de los cielos, con toda su hueste...", y Colosenses 1:16 dice: "Porque por Él fueron creadas todas las cosas que están en el cielo y que están en la tierra, visibles e invisibles, ya sean tronos o dominios o principados o poderes. Todas las cosas fueron creadas a través de Él y para Él".
· Entonces, los ángeles son seres creados y fueron creados, la creación de todos los ángulos, se completó antes de la creación de los humanos. Job 38:4-7 dice: "¿Dónde estabas cuando puse los cimientos de la tierra? Dime, si tienes entendimiento. ¿Quién determinó sus medidas? ¡Seguro que lo sabes! ¿O quién estiró la línea sobre ella? ¿A qué se sujetaron sus cimientos? ¿O quién puso su piedra angular, cuando las estrellas de la mañana cantaron juntas, y todos los hijos de Dios (una referencia a los ángeles) gritaron de alegría?"
· Entonces, los ángeles son seres creados, diferentes de los humanos como Hebreos 1:14 dice que todos los ángeles son "espíritus ministradores", creados antes de los seres humanos, (por lo tanto, conclusión muy importante, cuando alguien muere, no importa cuán santos sean, no se convierten en ángeles), y hoy caen en dos categorías principales; caídos y no caídos.
· En la categoría de ángeles caídos, tenemos dos clases. Una clase está reservada bajo cadenas de oscuridad hasta el día del juicio según los Libros de Judas y 2 Pedro. Los de segunda clase se conocen como demonios y están aquí, en la tierra, aunque sean espíritus.
· De los santos ángeles, o los ángeles "no caídos", bíblicamente tenemos a los querubines y los serafines. Los querubines parecen ser protectores de la santidad de Dios y protectores contra la contaminación, como vemos en Génesis 3:24, "Así que expulsó al hombre; y colocó querubines al este del jardín del Edén, y una espada en llamas que giraba en todos los sentidos, para proteger el camino del árbol de la vida". También fueron los querubines los que fueron construidos para sentarse en los dos extremos del propiciatorio.
· Los serafines son similares, tal vez incluso iguales, pero parece que su función principal es alabar a Dios y declarar Su santidad. También hay ángeles como los ángeles que pasaron el rato con Lot, estuvieron en la tumba de Jesús y que declararon la venida del Salvador. ¿Querubines, serafines? No sabemos. No se nos da en las Escrituras. Y también tenemos tres ángeles nombrados en la Biblia; Lucifer..., Gabriel y Miguel a quien se le da el título de "Arcángel" o el líder de los ángeles.
· En todas las Escrituras, esto es todo lo que tenemos... que sinceramente es muy muy poco. Cualquier nombre de cualquier ángel que no sean los tres que he dado es completamente antibíblico y lo que debemos saber es lo que tenemos. De hecho, Pablo incluso nos advirtió acerca de los ángeles en el Libro de Gálatas diciendo en Gálatas 1:8: "Si nosotros, o un ángel del cielo, te predicamos cualquier otro evangelio que no sea el que te hemos predicado, que sea maldito".
Isaías Capítulo 6 Versículos 3 – 5
· Todo el último capítulo fue Isaías, el profeta, declarando males sobre las personas que han rechazado a Dios y ahora él gira de ellos hacia mí. Ay de mí, dice mientras escucha el coro de los santos ángeles y ve el trono de Dios.
· Alguien dijo una vez, cuando realmente ves a Dios, realmente te ves a ti mismo. Hay una gran humildad que DEBE estar presente en cualquiera que realmente se haya encontrado con Dios. Simplemente es así como es. Si alguien carece de humildad, entonces es casi seguro que no ha encontrado realmente a Dios.
· Es así. No importa lo bueno que seas golfista, haz algunas rondas con Tiger. No importa lo bueno que seas en un tiro libre que tengas... juega un partido junto a Michael Jordan. No vas a estar hablando mal... vas a ser humilde... Cuánto más cuando te encuentras con el Creador que a la luz de Su perfección y poder y la santidad te ama y te llama con la misma medida de perfección, poder y santidad?
Isaías Capítulo 6 Versículos 6 – 8
· Me encanta esto. Una confesión de pecaminosidad, una confesión proactiva de Isaías se encuentra con remedio y luego inmediatamente Isaías está completamente calificado para hablar en nombre de Dios. Hay tantas cosas sucediendo allí ...
· Primero, este movimiento proactivo por parte de Isaías lo es todo... Dios o cualquiera puede decirte todo el día una y otra vez lo que necesitas hacer y lo que realmente desean de ti, y en eso hay una gran tristeza ... porque si amaste al Señor, si los amaste... quienquiera que te esté haciendo esa petición... NUNCA tendrían que preguntar (o tal vez solo una vez). Y en este momento de Isaías dando un paso adelante, "Dios ni siquiera tienes que decirlo, estoy tan contigo, lo voy a decir..." Dios responde inmediatamente con un remedio total.
· Ok traducir eso a la situación actual ... Si tienes un jefe o un compañero de trabajo o un subordinado o un hijo o un cónyuge o un amigo que tiene que preguntarte o recordarte constantemente que te digas o señales algo... entonces, un día, porque te importa, los detienes haciéndolo antes de que tengan que preguntar o decir algo, en ese momento, el amor se revela. Por favor, reconózcalo. Así que muy pocos lo hacen y luego tratan de decir que les importa..., y sé que les importa, pero, hombre es difícil de creer y ser consolado por el cuidado cuando la persona que lo dice te está poniendo muy triste porque ese cuidado es falso o no revelado...
· Y en el momento en que Isaías deja su posición para llegar a la perspectiva de Dios, en ese mismo momento... Isaías está completamente calificado para hablar por parte de Dios. Lo que nos califica a ti y a mí para servir como a Dios y en el lugar de Dios en la tierra... ¡NADA más que esto!
Isaías Capítulo 6 Versículos 9 – 13
· Esencialmente, lo que Dios le está diciendo a Isaías es que se vaya y que a medida que se desanime, siga adelante. Vas a decir la verdad, no escucharán. Les vas a mostrar la verdad. En su mayor parte, no verán ... ¡pero Dios enviará un pequeño remanente que lo hará todo!
· Ahora, Juan hace referencia a Isaías 6 directamente en Juan 12:37-41... Y el mensaje realmente era que si no quieres creer, no solo no lo harás, sino que simplemente no puedes. ¿Por qué? Porque se necesita fe para tener fe...
· Pero también, ¿quién es el Él en Juan 12? Según Juan 12:44, "Entonces Jesús clamó y dijo: "El que cree en Mí, no cree en Mí, sino en Aquel que Me envió. Y el que me ve ve al que me envió." Y así, tenemos una revelación impresionante. ¿Quién le habla a Isaías en Isaías 6? ¿En el trono? Según la Biblia, es Jesucristo...
· Jesús es el Señor. Él es el Rey de Reyes y Señor de Señores y lo que nos separa de tanto progreso y bondad y bendición y amor y alegría es esa confesión proactiva positiva (el término bíblico para eso es FE) hacia Dios desde tu corazón directamente a Él. Jesús, Tú, eres el Señor... y escucharé y entenderé... y veré y percibiré, porque creo, ¡me importa... porque yo quiero!
