Revelation 22 vs 6-11

Revelation Chapter 22 Verse 6
•“These words are faithful and true…” True the angel says which is a spectacular word that means, “Not frail…exact opposite of what is fictitious and counterfeit,” a word that means, “certain.” Please hear me in this… The word of God IS an anchor point! What we’ve seen over the past months of study through this book, what we’ve read, what we’ve learned, it is “certain,” along with everything else that proceeds forth from the mouth of God.
•My life, your life, life in general is filled with uncertainties. Circumstances, relationships, situations that I just don’t know how they’re going to play out. Could be ok, could not be ok, I just don’t know…I can’t be certain. And that makes me a bit uneasy. Frail in my faith at times. But I’m strengthened…why? Because I know, I have seen, I have learned that the Word of God is indeed certain and I have found that frailty flees when I draw near to God.
•And what we’ve seen, what we’ve experienced through our verse-by-verse study through Revelation, the angel says will “shortly take place.” It’s the coolest word, it’s actually the Greek word “tachos” and it is again the same root word we say all the way back in Chapter 1 verse 1, (“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants – things which must shortly take place”), and it literally means, when you see it begin it is already upon us!
Revelation Chapter 22 Verse 7
•This is a familiar exhortation. The blessing of the book reiterated by Jesus and notice, just like in Chapter 1, but Jesus says look, “Hearing, good. Reading, great. But if you want to experience the truth and certainty and strength of this Book and the entire Word of God…keep!”
•And just like we looked at all those months back in Chapter 1, this word is not keep as in collect, or as in store up like so many do…just adding knowledge upon knowledge, but this word literally means the blessing is in walking it out! Installing, applying, resolving and doing…reserving yourself for it and guarding it by your will and wisdom!
Revelation Chapter 22 Verses 8 – 9
•All angels in the Bible refuse to be worshipped except for one and that is Lucifer. His desire to be worshipped turned him against the Lord… Don’t fall into that same trap…
•I want to say, perhaps this will be a bit interesting, angels love the Word of God. Angels obey the Word of God. Angels know and keep the Word of God? Isn’t that an amazing thought?! And so, when you are in the Word, learning the Word, hearing the Word, reading the Word, keeping the Word…you’re in eternal company! Heavenly association! Cliqued up with an entire community of celestial champions! (We see words here like “brethren” and “fellow.”) That’s awesome!
•Angels are among us even now! One amazing account where we see this truth is 2 Kings 6:16-17 when Elisha was facing off with the entire army of Syria and one of Elisha’s servants was terrified. And we read, “So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”
•You’re like, “Man if I could only see that, I’d be so blessed!” Wrong. If you only believed that you’d be so blessed! Jesus said in John 20:29, “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed!” The power is not in the seeing. The power and strength and lasting encouragement and growth is in the believing…and today, this place is filled with a grip of angels because they love a good Bible study!
•And notice, back in Chapter 19, what did the angel say to John then…well the same thing…almost! Take a look. Revelation 19 Verse 10. He says the same thing doesn’t he? But one small difference. He says, “I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus!” Wow! So, compare that with Revelation Chapter 22:9 where the angel says, “I am of those, just like you, who keep the words of this book.” And so, the clear conclusion…keeping the words of this book is having the testimony of Jesus!!!
•You want to grow? You want to know? You want to go? You want to be closer to Jesus and filled with truth, grace, love, purpose and power? I want my life to be a testimony of the truth and grace and power and ferocious love of Jesus Christ. I want to win. Overcome this world, overcome the grave, defeat evil with good…all of those things. How? Keep the words of this book!!! The testimony of Jesus will blast forth through YOUR life…if you would only keep…walk it out. Hear and do.
•One other thing here. The Angel in verse 6 said that these words are faithful and true. Certain. Now couple that with what we just learned by comparing 19:10 with 22:9 and we find an additional and imperative truth…that it is indeed Jesus Himself who is certainty. It is indeed Jesus Himself who is the exact opposite of what is fictitious and counterfeit. And it is indeed Jesus Himself whom you will find yourself anchored to as you walk out His word seeking to glorify the Father.
•It is Jesus who is able to secure the anchor of you. Nothing else. Not your job, not your ministry, not your car, not your house, not your 401k, not your husband, not your boyfriend, not yo momma…as wonderful as yo momma is…she is a sinful fallen person and therefore at some point will unfortunately prove herself to be unfaithful and will fail you and shame will enter…disappointment will be the destination of every person who does not keep these words, drawing nearer to certainty, anchoring to Jesus alone…imperative truth, man!
Revelation Chapter 22 Verses 10 – 11
•And so the angel says, “Get this book onto Kindle. Print it and proliferate it. Put it into the hands of everyone and if after reading this book one still chooses to be unjust, still chooses to be filthy…after learning the clear revelation of Jesus Christ and peering into the culmination and fulfillment of Bible prophecy, then let that rock you, man. Let that show you there’s an issue, man.”
•You find yourself having studied this book verse by verse, in depth and in detail and yet your choice is still to be unjust, self-centered and short-sighted…your heart is revealed…and terror (or at least remorse) should be your next emotion, closely followed by repentance.
•Yet if this is like a red bull of righteousness for you, just peaks your hope in the coming kingdom, charges you up and refreshes you so that you may be able to further the kingdom of God in your moments…then too your heart is revealed…
Revelation Chapter 22 Verse 12
•Three times in this chapter, “I am coming quickly, I am coming quickly, I am coming quickly…”
•And check it, the reward…everlasting and eternal life…it’s with whom? Jesus! And He gives it out according to our work. I wonder, does He have anything for you?
•Now, imperative principal here when you ponder that statement with verse 9 and 19:10… That keeping the words of this book, a life soaked in the testimony of Jesus Christ, is our work. Our marching orders, man. Paul would call it our reasonable response…
•How many of you here tonight got saved after reading a tract? How many of you got saved after picking up the old dusty family Bible and flopping it open for 5 minutes? Now, how many of you got saved because someone shared the truth with you? See what I’m saying? Our work, to keep His word first because if we’re not keeping, able to keep, wanting to keep the words of this book, then we need saving ourselves first…our work is to live out, walk out, a life that testifies of Jesus Christ…His love and His greatness and the reward? We get Him ourselves!
Revelation Chapter 22 Verses 13 – 15
•“Outside” or “exo” in the Greek…which means “without,” “gone,” “not there,” “dis-included,” “lost….”
Revelation Chapter 22 Verse 16
•Jesus proclaiming here that He is both the “root” and the “offspring” of David is a revelation of His divine nature and yet His step into His own creation…
Revelation Chapter 22 Verses 17 - 19
•(The water of life today is God’s grace – Romans 3:24)
•Very stern and sure warning to those who have altered the Word of God to fit into their own beliefs…those that have tried to change Jesus into their own image rather than believe Him, learn Him, follow Him right where He’s at…upon the throne of heaven!
Revelation Chapter 22 Verses 20 – 21
•“I come quickly, I come quickly, I come quickly.” Get ready. And the final thought of this wondrous book…God’s grace. Not only is His return near, not only is His coming to fulfill all the prophecies of this Book upon us…without a doubt as we watch the world scene and circumstance after circumstance lines up perfectly with the Word of God…but God’s grace…, “Behold I come quickly.”
•A prayer away. A bent knee’s length. To know Him, to keep the company of angels…to take of the water of life…! A walk with Jesus begins and ends with receiving the grace of God, and so does this book!



Apocalipsis Capítulo 22 Versículo 6

· “Estas palabras son fieles y verdaderas…” Cierto dice el ángel que es una palabra espectacular que significa, “No frágil… exactamente lo contrario de lo que es ficticio y falsificado”, una palabra que significa, “cierta”. Por favor escúchame en esto… ¡La palabra de Dios ES un punto de anclaje! Lo que hemos visto en los últimos meses de estudio a través de este libro, lo que hemos leído, lo que hemos aprendido, es "cierto", junto con todo lo demás que procede de la boca de Dios.

· Mi vida, tu vida, la vida en general está llena de incertidumbres. Circunstancias, relaciones, situaciones que simplemente no sé cómo se van a desarrollar. Podría estar bien, no podría estar bien, simplemente no sé... no puedo estar seguro. Y eso me inquieta un poco. Frágil en mi fe a veces. Pero estoy fortalecido... ¿por qué? Porque sé, he visto, he aprendido que la Palabra de Dios sí es cierta y he descubierto que la fragilidad huye cuando me acerco a Dios.

· Y lo que hemos visto, lo que hemos observado a través de nuestro estudio versículo por versículo a través de Apocalipsis, el ángel dice que “sucederá en breve”. Es la palabra más genial, en realidad es la palabra griega "tachos" y es nuevamente la misma raíz que decimos en el capítulo 1, versículo 1, ("La revelación de Jesucristo, que Dios le dio para mostrar a sus siervos: cosas que deben suceder pronto”), y literalmente significa, cuando veas que comienza, ¡ya está sobre nosotros!

Apocalipsis Capítulo 22 Versículo 7

· Esta es una exhortación familiar. La bendición del libro reiterada por Jesús y fíjate, igual que en el capítulo 1, pero Jesús dice mira, “Oír, bueno. Lectura, genial. Pero si quieres experimentar la verdad, la certeza y la fuerza de este Libro y de toda la Palabra de Dios… ¡mantente!”

· Y tal como vimos todos esos meses atrás en el Capítulo 1, esta palabra no se guarda como en colecta, o como guardada como muchos lo hacen... simplemente agregando conocimiento sobre conocimiento, pero esta palabra literalmente significa que la bendición es cuando lo hagas! Instalar, aplicar, resolver y hacer… ¡reservándote para ello y protegiéndolo con tu voluntad y sabiduría!

Apocalipsis Capítulo 22 Versículos 8 – 9

· Todos los ángeles en la Biblia se niegan a ser adorados a excepción de uno y ese es Lucifer. Su deseo de ser adorado lo volvió contra el Señor… No caigan en la misma trampa…

· Quiero decir, quizás esto sea un poco interesante, los ángeles aman la Palabra de Dios. Los ángeles obedecen la Palabra de Dios. ¿Los ángeles conocen y guardan la Palabra de Dios? ¡¿No es un pensamiento increíble?! Y así, cuando estás en la Palabra, aprendiendo la Palabra, escuchando la Palabra, leyendo la Palabra, guardando la Palabra… ¡estás en compañía eterna! ¡Asociación celestial! ¡Se unió a toda una comunidad de campeones celestiales! (Aquí vemos palabras como "hermanos" y "compañeros".) ¡Eso es asombroso!

· ¡Los ángeles están entre nosotros incluso ahora! Un relato sorprendente donde vemos esta verdad es 2 Reyes 6:16-17 cuando Eliseo se enfrentaba a todo el ejército de Siria y uno de los sirvientes de Eliseo estaba aterrorizado. Y leemos: “Entonces él respondió: No temas, porque más son los que están con nosotros que los que están con ellos”. Y Eliseo oró y dijo: Señor, te ruego que le abras los ojos para que vea. Entonces el Señor abrió los ojos del joven, y vio. Y he aquí, la montaña estaba llena de caballos y carros de fuego alrededor de Eliseo”.

· Eres como, "Hombre, si tan solo pudiera ver eso, ¡sería tan bendecido!" Incorrecto. ¡Si tan solo creyeras que serías tan bendecido! Jesús dijo en Juan 20:29: “¡Bienaventurados los que no vieron y creyeron!” El poder no está en el ver. El poder y la fuerza y el aliento duradero y el crecimiento están en el creer… ¡y hoy, este lugar está lleno de ángeles porque aman un buen estudio de la Biblia!

· Y fíjate, allá en el capítulo 19, ¿qué le dijo el ángel a Juan entonces… bueno, lo mismo… casi! Echar un vistazo. Apocalipsis 19 versículo 10. Él dice lo mismo, ¿no? Pero una pequeña diferencia. Él dice: “¡Yo soy consiervo tuyo, y de tus hermanos que tienen el testimonio de Jesús!”

¡Guau! Entonces, compare eso con Apocalipsis Capítulo 22: 9 donde el ángel dice: "Yo soy de aquellos, como tú, que guardan las palabras de este libro". Y así, la conclusión clara... guardar las palabras de este libro es tener el testimonio de Jesús!!!

· ¿Quieres crecer? ¿Tu quieres saber? ¿Quieres ir? ¿Quieres estar más cerca de Jesús y lleno de verdad, gracia, amor, propósito y poder? Quiero que mi vida sea un testimonio de la verdad y la gracia y el poder y el amor feroz de Jesucristo. Quiero ganar. Vence este mundo, vence la tumba, vence el mal con el bien... todas esas cosas. ¿Cómo? ¡Guarde las palabras de este libro!!! El testimonio de Jesús estallará a través de TU vida... si tan solo mantuvieras... salieras adelante. Escuchar y hacer.

· Otra cosa aquí. El ángel en el versículo 6 dijo que estas palabras son fieles y verdaderas. Cierto. Ahora combine eso con lo que acabamos de aprender al comparar 19:10 con 22:9 y encontramos una verdad adicional e imperativa... que es Jesús mismo quien es la certeza. De hecho, es Jesús mismo quien es
exactamente lo contrario de lo que es ficticio y falsificado. Y de hecho es Jesús mismo a quien te encontrarás anclado mientras caminas en Su palabra buscando glorificar al Padre.

· Es Jesús quien puede aseguraros el ancla. Nada más. Ni tu trabajo, ni tu ministerio, ni tu coche, ni tu casa, ni tu 401k, ni tu marido, ni tu novio, ni tu mamá... tan maravillosa como es tu mamá... ella es una persona pecaminosa caída y por lo tanto en algún momento desgraciadamente se demostrará infiel y te fallará y entrará la vergüenza... el desengaño será el destino de todo aquel que no guarde estas palabras, acercándose a la certeza, anclándose sólo en Jesús... ¡verdad imperativa, hombre!

Apocalipsis Capítulo 22 Versículos 10 – 11

· Y entonces el ángel dice, “Consigue este libro en Kindle. Imprímelo y proliferalo. Ponlo en manos de todos y si después de leer este libro uno todavía elige ser injusto, todavía elige ser inmundo... después de conocer la clara revelación de Jesucristo y asomarse a la culminación y cumplimiento de la profecía bíblica, entonces deja que eso te sacuda, hombre. Deja que eso te muestre que hay un problema, hombre”.

· Te encuentras habiendo estudiado este libro verso por verso, en profundidad y en detalle y sin embargo tu elección sigue siendo injusta, egocéntrica y miope... tu corazón se revela... y el terror (o al menos el remordimiento) debe ser tu próxima emoción, seguida de cerca por el arrepentimiento.

· Sin embargo, si esto es como un toro rojo de justicia para ti, solo eleva tu esperanza en el reino venidero, te anima y te refresca para que puedas promover el reino de Dios en tus momentos... entonces también tu corazón está revelado…

Apocalipsis Capítulo 22 Versículo 12

· Tres veces en este capítulo, “Vengo pronto, vengo pronto, vengo pronto…”

· Y compruébalo, la recompensa... la vida eterna... ¿con quién? ¡Jesús! Y Él lo da de acuerdo a nuestro trabajo. Me pregunto, ¿tiene algo para ti?

· Ahora, principal imperativo aquí cuando reflexionas sobre esa afirmación con el versículo 9 y 19:10… Que guardar las palabras de este libro, una vida empapada en el testimonio de Jesucristo, es nuestra obra. Nuestras órdenes de marcha, hombre. Pablo lo llamaría nuestra respuesta razonable...

· ¿Cuántos de ustedes aquí esta noche fueron salvos después de leer un folleto bíblico? ¿Cuántos de ustedes se salvaron después de recoger la vieja y polvorienta Biblia familiar y abrirla durante 5 minutos? Ahora, ¿cuántos de ustedes fueron salvos porque alguien compartió la verdad con ustedes? ¿Ves lo que estoy diciendo? Nuestro trabajo, guardar Su palabra primero porque si no estamos guardando, si no somos capaces de guardar, si no queremos guardar las palabras de este libro, entonces necesitamos salvarnos a nosotros mismos primero... nuestro trabajo es vivir, caminar, una vida que testifique de Jesucristo... Su amor y Su grandeza y la recompensa? ¡Lo conseguimos nosotros mismos!

Apocalipsis Capítulo 22 Versículos 13 – 15

· “Afuera” o “exo” en griego… que significa “sin”, “ido”, “no allí”, “des-incluido”, “perdido…”

Apocalipsis Capítulo 22 Versículo 16

· Jesús proclamando aquí que Él es tanto la "raíz" como el "linaje" de David es una revelación de Su naturaleza divina y, sin embargo, Su paso a Su propia creación...

Apocalipsis Capítulo 22 Versículos 17 - 19

· (El agua de vida hoy es la gracia de Dios – Romanos 3:24)

· Una advertencia muy severa y segura para aquellos que han alterado la Palabra de Dios para encajar en sus propias creencias... aquellos que han tratado de cambiar a Jesús a su propia imagen en lugar de creerle, aprenderlo, seguirlo justo donde está... en el trono del cielo!

Apocalipsis Capítulo 22 Versículos 20 – 21

· “Vengo pronto, vengo pronto, vengo pronto”. Prepararse. Y el pensamiento final de este maravilloso libro... la gracia de Dios. No solo está cerca Su regreso, no solo Su venida para cumplir todas las profecías de este Libro sobre nosotros... sin duda mientras observamos la escena mundial y circunstancia tras circunstancia se alinea perfectamente con la Palabra de Dios... pero la gracia de Dios..., “He aquí que vengo pronto”.

· A una oración de distancia. La longitud de una rodilla doblada. ¡Conocerle, estar en compañía de los ángeles... tomar del agua de la vida...! Un caminar con Jesús comienza y termina al recibir la gracia de Dios, ¡y este libro también!
