Revelation 19 vs 11-16

Revelation Chapter 19 Verse 11
•Heaven opens and the totality of heaven is contained in what John sees and that is Jesus on a white horse. Ready for war! Ready to fight on behalf of all that is good and right. A fact and character trait of the Lord that I often forget. I’ve said this to myself several times this week, “The flesh profits nothing!” And what I really want to happen is only going to happen if I can muster up the strength to trust in the Lord which means, do it His way! [Key Point #1] Why? He’s the warrior on the white horse and His name is Faithful and True!
•How does John know this (His name)? Not sure! Maybe it’s a chorus, a song…who knows…a proclamation… But this word, so good…when it says that He is called Faithful and True that literally means never failing, always winning, and opposite of what is counterfeit, defective, imperfect and uncertain! What other god is even remotely 1% like this!? There is NONE!
•He rides a white horse...we’ve seen a white horse before, haven’t we? All the way back in Revelation Chapter 6 verse 2 and the rider of that horse was who? The Anti-Christ! The descriptions of the riders are very different yet one characteristic is common. They both make war. Notice the Anti-Christ goes out to conquer…to cause war…conquer who, what…you and yours, man…but Jesus goes forth in righteousness to make war FOR you and for the good of those that are yours!
•Now we don’t have time to fully develop this comparison but that single point alone has profound application in our everyday lives…are you looking to conquer, get what you want, have it your way…be served…, or are you looking to make war against all unrighteousness? Things and stuff that steals, kills and destroys your life and the life of those you love? (In your own heart, in your homes, at work, at church…) Certainly will reveal whom you are serving…which rider…
Revelation Chapter 19 Verse 12
•I like what Jon Courson says about the “many crowns.” Could they be the crowns given to Jesus by all of the different groups and denominations that crown Jesus king? Some preach in ties, others in sandals…some utilize the organ while others the drums…yet when Jesus returns, we’re all arrayed the same…we’ll see that in a minute…
Revelation Chapter 19 Verse 13
•The Word of God Himself…in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God… Here He is again and now it’s the end. He is the beginning and the end, the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, THE Almighty!
•And look, we have some truths to face in His multiple names. First, He is called Faithful and True. Second, He has a name that is hidden…no one knows it…which means there are inexhaustible truths and depths to be found in knowing Jesus and being known by Him. Having a relationship with Him. Third, He name is called the Word of God. These three are one and there are truths to face.
•One day Jesus said in John Chapter 5:39, “You search the scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.” The Word of God is living and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword, able to pierce and clarify in the heart of a person like nothing else, even down to the soul, spirit and joint and marrow, or flesh. A truth that we have to face hidden in the names of what Jesus is called is that the Bible is the codified DNA of our Creator. And to grow in the scriptures (knowledge and application) is a critical element to growing in a real relationship with Him. [Key Point #2] So essential, that if you’re not growing in the Word of God then you are not growing in the Son of God…because His name is The Word of God…faithful and true…and in Him are hidden all things that pertain to life and godliness.
Revelation Chapter 19 Verses 14
•Notice, it’s His robe that is stained in blood. It’s His that is imperfectly perfect. Not the rest of them. None of the rest that ride with Jesus could endure what He had to endure, but because He did…because of His righteousness and His blood…many ride. It’s not their works, not their blood, not their righteousness that make them worthy of riding with Him or backing Him up…it’s His…totally.
•How can you let your light shine when you are such a total mess? Step into the grace of God. How can you speak about grace, joy, truth and love when you are in such a difficult season…encouraging someone who needs it when its you that needs it the most…ride with Jesus in your perfect linens because of His imperfect one. Step into who Jesus says you are and not who your past says you are…and step into the fruit of the Spirit.
Revelation Chapter 19 Verse 15
•Watch this! Where does the sharp sword come from? His mouth. What is the sharp sword? The Word of God. 2 Timothy 3:16 says that the Word of God is God breathed…out of the mouth of God. So, who is Jesus? God.
•And this sword…it goes out to strike, rule and straighten. Check this out. If you will not allow the Word of God to strike at your heart, your mind, the way you think, your accepted way of life and presentation of yourself, then you will not in any way enjoy the benefit of having God rule over your life. It’s going to strike. It’s going to sting…duh. This is the Spirit and the Spirit wars against the flesh and the flesh is all about me…but let it! The result is God taking responsibility for your life. His rulership over your circumstances and HE IS GOOD!
•And then that rule is with a rod of iron. A rod is straight and iron is strong. I want my life, my heart, my mind, my circumstance, my relationships, my ministry…straightened out. What does that take? Being open to being corrected by the Word of God…installing those corrections under the RULES of God…and then well, Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Acknowledge Him in everything and HE will make your way STRAIGHT!”
Revelation Chapter 19 Verse 16
•Fourth name! He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. There is none higher. None wiser. None more powerful. None Good but Him. And in the midst of his Kingship, He is faithful and true. He has inexhaustible truths of life to be found out in Him. He has given His word as a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our paths to find Him and in that find all of these things…that everything, all of this, every bit of creation is about Him because it all came by and through Him. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords.
•And where is that written? On His thigh. He’s also tatted up! HA!
Revelation Chapter 19 Verses 17 – 18
•Armies are gathered against Him…riding out to meet Him and He doesn’t even waste His time or ours…He lets the birds handle what exalts itself against God! And this is the second supper of this chapter, the first one being mentioned last week, the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
Revelation Chapter 19 Verses 19 – 20
•Wait…where’s the fight? Verse 19, they’re gathered…verse 20 it’s over…and nothing even started…why? Because there’s no fight… As soon as Jesus is on the scene, it’s over for evil…same for us today. Just give it all to Him…go all in and for real follow after Him hard and there won’t even be a fight… Who can stand against our God? Evil will be crushed under His feet and yours…
•And notice immediately the Beast and the False Prophet are cast right then and there into Gehenna, the Lake of Fire…
Revelation Chapter 19 Verse 21
•And with one swoop of the sharp sword, all others that had gathered against God are doomed and the vouchers get ‘em. And so ends the reign of Satan and evil upon the earth. That’s it. Jesus has returned.
•Now as I look back at our studies it’s almost alarming that we spent 13 Chapters discussing the Great Tribulation. From chapter 6 through chapter 18…plagues, pests, problems…suffering scorching and sorrow…heartache, earthquakes and death…and finally when we come to the culmination, the glorious Second Coming of Jesus Christ, we only get one short chapter…why? Why not spend one short chapter on the Tribulation and 13 chapters on the return of the King of Kings…
•I believe John is pastoring. Simple as that. He’s writing of the New World Order, the global economic system, the mark of the Beast, the Anti-Christ, etc…but he’s also writing this to seven literal churches at the time…described for us in Chapters 2 and 3…and these churches are filled with folks that don’t know how to handle tribulation…problems, issues, hardships, inconveniences even…
•Folks that are filled with the knowledge of God, His Word, His truth and then tribulation hits and their spiritual GPS fails…They, us, Christians don’t know how to navigate tribulation well…and so if you look at chapters 6 – 19 holistically, what you see is that knowledge puffs up, but love guides…the marriage supper of the Lamb, that intimacy of being married to Jesus, not just a follower, not just a fan, married man…committed and faithful…is the key to the battle…or should I say, no battle at all…just the key to the win.
•The answer is not optimism or manipulation or even for them to change precisely how you’d have them to be…the answer is for you to grow up…get real about being committed and faithful to the One who is Faithful and True and then the Lord will come again…[Key Point #3]…and there will be no more battle whatsoever…He prepares a meal for us in the presence of our enemies and the Word testifies that surely goodness and mercy will follow you all of the days of our lives and we’ll dwell in the house of the Lord forever…
•The key is not knowledge. It’s not passion. It’s not time (“Well I’ve walked with Jesus for 30 years”). It’s not even tribulation and learning and growing through problems. The key, and what Christianity really is, it’s marriage…covenant commitment and closeness between you and Jesus. He’s already said I do, what do you say?
Key Point #1 – What I want to happen is only going to happen if I do it His way!
Key Point #2 – Growing in the scriptures (knowledge + application) is a critical element to growing in Jesus.
Key Point #3 – Get faithful to the One who is faithful…and watch Him come through


Apocalipsis Capítulo 19 Versículo 11
●El cielo se abre y la totalidad del cielo está contenida en lo que ve Juan y es Jesús en un caballo blanco. ¡Listo para la guerra! Listo para luchar en nombre de todo lo bueno y lo correcto. Un hecho y un rasgo del carácter del Señor que a menudo olvido. Me he dicho esto varias veces esta semana: "¡La carne no aprovecha para nada!" Y lo que realmente quiero que suceda solo sucederá si puedo reunir la fuerza para confiar en el Señor, lo que significa, ¡ hazlo a Su manera! [Punto clave n. ° 1] ¿Por qué? ¡Él es el guerrero del caballo blanco y su nombre es Fiel y Verdadero!
●¿Cómo sabe Juan esto (su nombre)? ¡No estoy seguro! Tal vez sea un coro, una canción ... quién sabe ... una proclamación ... Pero esta palabra, tan buena ... cuando dice que Él se llama Fiel y Verdadero, literalmente significa nunca fallar, siempre ganar, y lo contrario de lo que es falso, defectuoso, imperfecto e incierto! ¿¡Qué otro dios es siquiera remotamente un 1% así!? ¡No hay ninguno!
●Monta un caballo blanco ... hemos visto un caballo blanco antes, ¿no? Todo el camino de regreso en Apocalipsis Capítulo 6 versículo 2 y el jinete de ese caballo era ¿quién? ¡El Anticristo! Las descripciones de los jinetes son muy diferentes, pero una característica es común. Ambos hacen la guerra. Fíjense que el Anticristo sale a conquistar ... a causar guerra ... conquistar a quién, qué ... tú y los tuyos, hombre ... ¡pero Jesús sale en justicia para hacer la guerra POR ti y por el bien de los tuyos!
●Ahora no tenemos tiempo para desarrollar completamente esta comparación, pero ese único punto por sí solo tiene una aplicación profunda en nuestra vida cotidiana ... ¿está buscando conquistar, obtener lo que desea, hacer las cosas a su manera ... ser servido ... o está buscando hacer guerra contra toda injusticia? ¿Cosas y cosas que roban, matan y destruyen tu vida y la vida de tus seres queridos? (En su propio corazón, en sus hogares, en el trabajo, en la iglesia ...) Ciertamente revelará a quién está sirviendo ... qué jinete ...
Apocalipsis Capítulo 19 Versículo 12
●Me gusta lo que dice Jon Courson sobre las "muchas coronas". ¿Podrían ser las coronas dadas a Jesús por todos los diferentes grupos y denominaciones que coronan a Jesús como rey? Algunos predican con corbata, otros con sandalias ... algunos utilizan el órgano mientras que otros los tambores ... pero cuando Jesús regresa, todos estamos vestidos de la misma manera ... lo veremos en un minuto ...
Apocalipsis Capítulo 19 Versículo 13
●La Palabra de Dios mismo ... en el principio era la Palabra y la Palabra estaba con Dios y la Palabra era Dios ... Aquí está Él de nuevo y ahora es el fin. Él es el principio y el fin, el Alfa y la Omega, el Primero y el Último, ¡EL Todopoderoso!
●Y mire, tenemos algunas verdades que enfrentar en Sus múltiples nombres. Primero, se le llama Fiel y Verdadero. En segundo lugar, Él tiene un nombre que está oculto ... nadie lo sabe ... lo que significa que hay verdades y profundidades inagotables que se pueden encontrar en conocer a Jesús y ser conocido por Él. Tener una relación con él. En tercer lugar, su nombre se llama Palabra de Dios. Estos tres son uno y hay verdades que afrontar.
●Un día, Jesús dijo en Juan capítulo 5:39: “Escudriñad las Escrituras, porque en ellas creéis tener vida eterna; y estos son los que dan testimonio de mí ”. La Palabra de Dios es viva y poderosa, más cortante que cualquier espada de dos filos, capaz de traspasar y aclarar el corazón de una persona como ninguna otra cosa, hasta el alma, el espíritu, las coyunturas, la médula o la carne. Una verdad que tenemos que enfrentar escondida en los nombres de cómo se llama Jesús es que la Biblia es el ADN codificado de nuestro Creador. Y crecer en las Escrituras (conocimiento y aplicación) es un elemento crítico para crecer en una relación real con Él. [Punto clave # 2] Tan esencial, que si no estás creciendo en la Palabra de Dios, entonces no estás creciendo en el Hijo de Dios ... porque Su nombre es La Palabra de Dios ... fiel y verdadera ... y en Él están escondidas, todas las cosas que pertenecen a la vida y la piedad.
Apocalipsis Capítulo 19 Versículos 14
●Fíjense, es Su túnica la que está manchada de sangre. Es el que es imperfectamente perfecto. No el resto de ellos. Ninguno de los demás que cabalgaron con Jesús pudo soportar lo que Él tuvo que soportar, pero debido a que Él lo hizo ... debido a Su justicia y Su sangre ... muchos cabalgan. No son sus obras, ni su sangre, ni su justicia lo que los hace dignos de cabalgar con Él o respaldarlo… es Suyo… totalmente.
●¿Cómo puedes dejar que tu luz brille cuando eres un desastre total? Entra en la gracia de Dios. ¿Cómo puedes hablar acerca de la gracia, el gozo, la verdad y el amor cuando estás en una temporada tan difícil… animando a alguien que lo necesita cuando eres tú quien más lo necesita… cabalga con Jesús en tu ropa perfecta debido a la imperfecta de Él? Adéntrate en lo que Jesús dice que es y no en lo que tu pasado dice que es… y adéntrate en el fruto del Espíritu.
Apocalipsis Capítulo 19 Versículo 15
●¡Ver este! ¿De dónde viene la espada afilada? Su boca. ¿Qué es la espada afilada? La palabra de Dios. 2 Timoteo 3:16 dice que la Palabra de Dios es inspirada por Dios… de la boca de Dios. Entonces, ¿quién es Jesús? Dios.
●Y esta espada ... sale a golpear, gobernar y enderezar. Mira esto. Si no permite que la Palabra de Dios golpee su corazón, su mente, su forma de pensar, su forma de vida aceptada y su presentación de sí mismo, entonces no disfrutará de ninguna manera del beneficio de que Dios gobierne su vida. Va a golpear. Va a doler ... duh. Este es el Espíritu y el Espíritu guerrea contra la carne y la carne me rodea… ¡ pero déjalo! El resultado es que Dios se hace responsable de su vida. Su gobierno sobre sus circunstancias y ¡ÉL ES BUENO!
●Y luego esa regla es con vara de hierro. La vara es recta y el hierro es fuerte. Quiero que mi vida, mi corazón, mi mente, mi circunstancia, mis relaciones, mi ministerio ... se aclaren. ¿Qué se necesita? Estar abierto a ser corregido por la Palabra de Dios ... instalando esas correcciones bajo las REGLAS de Dios ... y bueno, Proverbios 3: 5-6, “Confía en el Señor con todo tu corazón y no te apoyes en tu propio entendimiento. ¡Reconócelo en todo y Él hará tu camino RECTO! ”
Apocalipsis Capítulo 19 Versículo 16
●¡Cuarto nombre! Él es el Rey de reyes y el Señor de señores. No hay ninguno más alto. Ninguno más sabio. Ninguno más poderoso. Ninguno bueno excepto Él. Y en medio de su reinado, es fiel y veraz. Tiene verdades inagotables de vida que descubrir en él. Él ha dado Su palabra como una lámpara a nuestros pies y una luz a nuestros caminos para encontrarlo a Él y en ese encontrar todas estas cosas ... que todo, todo esto, cada parte de la creación se trata de Él porque todo vino de un lado a otro. Él. Él es el Rey de reyes y el Señor de señores.
●¿Y dónde está escrito eso? En Su muslo. ¡También está tatuado! ¡JA!
Apocalipsis Capítulo 19 Versículos 17-18
●Los ejércitos están reunidos contra Él ... cabalgando para encontrarlo y Él ni siquiera pierde Su tiempo ni el nuestro ... ¡Él deja que los pájaros manejen lo que se exalta contra Dios! Y esta es la segunda cena de este capítulo, la primera se mencionó la semana pasada, la Cena de las Bodas del Cordero.
Apocalipsis Capítulo 19 Versículos 19-20
●Espera ... ¿ dónde está la pelea? Versículo 19, están reunidos ... versículo 20 se acabó ... y nada ni siquiera comenzó ... ¿por qué? Porque no hay pelea ... Tan pronto como Jesús está en la escena, se acaba para el mal ... Lo mismo para nosotros hoy. Simplemente dáselo todo a Él ... entra con todo y síguelo de verdad y ni siquiera habrá una pelea ... ¿Quién puede oponerse a nuestro Dios? El mal será aplastado bajo sus pies y los tuyos ...
●Y noten inmediatamente que la Bestia y el Falso Profeta son arrojados en ese mismo momento al Gehena, el Lago de Fuego ...
Apocalipsis Capítulo 19 Versículo 21
●Y con un solo golpe de la espada afilada, todos los demás que se habían reunido contra Dios están condenados y los vales los obtienen. Y así termina el reinado de Satanás y el mal sobre la tierra. Eso es. Jesús ha vuelto.
●Ahora que miro hacia atrás en nuestros estudios, es casi alarmante que pasamos 13 capítulos discutiendo la Gran Tribulación. Desde el capítulo 6 hasta el capítulo 18 ... plagas, problemas ... sufrimiento abrasador y dolor ... dolor de corazón, terremotos y muerte ... y finalmente, cuando llegamos a la culminación, la gloriosa Segunda Venida de Jesucristo, solo tenemos un breve capítulo ... ¿por qué? ¿Por qué no dedicar un capítulo corto a la Tribulación y 13 capítulos al regreso del Rey de Reyes?
●Creo que Juan está pastoreando. Simple como eso. Está escribiendo sobre el Nuevo Orden Mundial, el sistema económico global, la marca de la Bestia, el Anticristo, etc ... pero también está escribiendo esto a siete iglesias literales en ese momento ... descrito para nosotros en los Capítulos 2 y 3 ... y estas iglesias están llenas de personas que no saben cómo manejar la tribulación ... problemas, dificultades, inconvenientes incluso ...
●Personas que están llenas del conocimiento de Dios, Su Palabra, Su verdad y luego la tribulación golpea y su GPS espiritual falla ... Ellos, nosotros, los cristianos no sabemos cómo manejar bien la tribulación ... y si miras los capítulos 6 al 19 holísticamente, lo que ves es que el conocimiento se envanece, pero el amor guía ... la cena de las bodas del Cordero, esa intimidad de estar casado con Jesús, no solo un seguidor, no solo un fan, un hombre casado ... comprometido y fiel ... es la clave a la batalla ... o debería decir, ninguna batalla en absoluto ... solo la clave para la victoria.
●La respuesta no es optimismo o manipulación o incluso que ellos cambien precisamente cómo quieres que sean ... la respuesta es que crezcas ... sé real en cuanto a estar comprometido y fiel a Aquel que es Fiel y Verdadero y luego el El Señor vendrá otra vez ... [Punto clave # 3] ... y no habrá más batalla en absoluto ... Él prepara una comida para nosotros en presencia de nuestros enemigos y la Palabra testifica que seguramente la bondad y la misericordia te seguirán todos los días de nuestras vidas y habitaremos en la casa del Señor para siempre ...
●La clave no es el conocimiento. No es pasión. No es el momento (“Bueno, he caminado con Jesús durante 30 años”). Ni siquiera es tribulación, aprendizaje y crecimiento a través de los problemas. La clave, y lo que realmente es el cristianismo, es el matrimonio ... compromiso de pacto y cercanía entre tú y Jesús. Él ya dijo que sí, ¿qué dices?
Punto clave n. ° 1: ¡Lo que quiero que suceda solo sucederá si lo hago a Su manera!
Punto clave # 2 - Crecer en las Escrituras (conocimiento + aplicación) es un elemento crítico para crecer en Jesús.
Punto clave n. ° 3 - Sea fiel a Aquel que es fiel ... y mírelo pasar.
