Revelation 2 vs 12-17 Part 2 Nimrod

Revelation Chapter 2 Verses 14 – 15
•What is the doctrine of Balaam? The story can be found in the Book of Numbers. Recall King Balak of Moab desired to stop the Jews from continuing their march to the promised land through nations like his and so he hired Balaam who was a diviner to curse them. Interesting, as Balaam would ascend a high mountain to overlook the entire people of Israel and cast his curse…what did he see? Well, Numbers Chapter 2 tells us how the children of Israel were arranged as they traveled and camped and if you count the people of the tribes and pictorially depict them what you have is 151k people on one side, 157k people on the other, 182k people on one side and 108k people on the other…the people there in the valley, what Balaam would have seen…a cross! So cool!
•And Balaam came back to Balak after attempting to curse them three times but couldn’t. He’d open his mouth and rather than a curse instead blessings proceeded! And so, Balaam, cleverly scheming as to how he could still get paid, he devised a dastardly plan to get them from within. He told Balak to send his hot Moabitesses into the camp of the Israelite army and entice the men to have relations with them and part of that relation will be for them to bow down to an idol and in so doing, deny their own God! The idea was essentially…you paid me to get them cursed…if I can’t curse them, well, I can make them curse them…and guess what. It worked! (And it will continue to work until the Great Harlot is defeated in Revelation 18)
•So, what is the doctrine of Balaam? The unholy, immoral, unnatural and unacceptable union of the world and foreign gods with God’s people! Jesus continued regarding the eating of things sacrificed to idols and rampant sexual immorality…both forms of neo-pagan worship.
•And also, the doctrine of the Nicolaitans…which we saw Jesus mention before as we studied the church of Ephesus however it was hated by the Ephesian church…but embraced by the church in Pergamos.
Heathen customs and practices were joined to Christianity under Constantine’s edicts and Pergamos was the progressive capital of it all. Why? Because when Babylon fell, the Babylonian priesthood essentially relocated to Pergamos. Why does that matter?

Before I go into this, let me just say, I am giving you origins. I am educating you, not telling you what you have to do with all of this. All you have to do is know it. Take it to the Lord, and see what He has for you. Some people learn this stuff and become zealots, Pharisees, bullies, meanies, and the like. I want to remind you that Colossians 2:16 says, “Let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.” Also, Romans 14:1-9. I share all of this first because whatever you decide to do with this, it should be done unto the glory of God and hating your brother for having a Christmas Tree or celebrating Easter goes against the Word of God and does not glorify the Lord. Ok, ready?

Revelation Chapter 17 Verses 1 – 5; Revelation Chapter 18 Verses 1 – 3; Revelation Chapter 19 Verses 1 – 7. Notice, it is after Babylon, the great harlot, the mistress/mister of Creation has fallen that now the bride of Christ is fully ready, fully prepared, and all of heaven rejoices because THE opposition has been stripped of all power as we see here written, “Alleluia, for the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!” This is a statement of solidary power and solidarity in power! All others that have assumed reign have fallen and only God is left…and here is the mystery, all other reigns are the original counterfeit and nothing more…the harlot, Mystery, Babylon the Great. This is what you will know more of and possibly understand after today.

Babylon is and was not only a place but represents and was the spiritual birth of the worship of self. Which really boils all the way down to the very spirit of evil and sin. The essence of sin, all sin. The nature and character of rebellion and this false worship system, this great harlot to pull the affections, allegiances, and attentions of mankind away from God has been on the scene ever since Satan deceived Eve, and Adam rebelled against God. Just as Jesus said in Matthew 7:15, “Beware of false prophets (prophets of whom? The Great Harlot!) who come looking like sheep but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.” And all the inhabitants of the earth, all the kings, all the nations, all the times and all the cultures and all the generations have been deceived and lie under the deceit of the Great Harlot. In the end, what we just read in Revelation, is the finality of the judgement and condemnation of the very root and substance of man’s downfall. Let’s start at the beginning…

Two thousand years before Jesus was born on this earth, a great grandson of Noah, son of Ham, son of Cush comes on the scene by the name of Nimrod. You can read about him in Genesis Chapter 10 and 11. (Read Genesis 10:8-11) He is probably most well-known for constructing the Tower of Babel. Obviously, he settled in Babylon. He is the Biblical prototype of rebellious people. He is the first kingdom upon the earth, supplanting God’s omnipotence, God’s kingdom.

Now I mentioned this in my Genesis 11 study, my opinion, my perspective, apart from Jesus Christ, the second most influential and pivotal man to ever walk the earth was this man Nimrod. Why? Well, it’s so very interesting. Jesus brought light. He brought grace and truth. He brought salvation and that is His hinge upon which mankind pivoted. Nimrod works in the darkness. At work today and has been throughout all previous cultures and generations, and yet subtly hidden, but fascinatingly…in plain sight. It’s been said, “The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist.”

Nimrod and how he was used and still is used, a primary tool, by the enemy brings rebellion…but slick rebellion. Slimy rebellion. Rebellion that is not fist in face obvious but rather simply a lean towards the world, towards man and away from reliance upon God. Nimrod brings darkness when he is allowed to reign. Deceit and judgment and ultimately his reign can, has and does swallow the souls of men and women in every nation, tongue and time…

Nimrod literally means, “rebellion” or “rebellious one,” and the Bible tells us in Genesis 10 that he was a “Mighty one ON THE EARTH, a mighty hunter before the Lord.” What did he do after the people were scattered…conquered. He set up his own kingdom…the first kingdom on earth…a kingdom apart from God. He was and is a prototype, a picture of Anti-Christ. He started with Babel which literally means “Heaven’s Gate,” to keep heaven out…and he went on from there to conquer and set up many nations of which some are given to us in Genesis 10.

So why is he still so relevant today you’re probably thinking…I mean this was Genesis and now he’s dead…true but here’s the rest of the story…According to Eusibius, Nimrod married a woman named Semiramis. Some accounts of this historical fact also name Semiramis as the wife of Cush which would either make her his mom…yep, sick…or a wife shared amongst father and son.

Either way, Semiramis was the wife of Nimrod. Nimrod became like a god to the people, a mighty hunter before the Lord, and in that he amassed great power which was shared with his wife, the Queen of ancient Babylon. Nimrod was eventually killed in battle and Semiramis, fearing that she would lose power, made the ideological proclamation to the people of Babylon that Nimrod had ascended to the sun and therefore his presence still would be real and felt everyday but now he is no longer the half man half god Nimrod, but now he was full god and he was called Baal which literally means, the chief…he was recognized in Ancient Babylon as deity from then on, as the Sun God. (Picture 1)
Semiramus proclaimed that Baal is present on earth and in heaven…in heaven as the sun and on earth as the flame and thus she was creating a mystery religion in which she eventually set herself up as goddess or priestess. She revealed to the people that she herself was immaculately conceived…the daughter of the moon as the moon went through its 28 days cycle and was fertile (ovulated) when full. She claimed that she came down from the moon in a giant moon egg that fell into the Euphrates at the first full moon after the spring equinox.

She became known by her goddess name “Ishtar” and the moon became known as “Ishtar’s egg.” Ishtar then conceived, claiming to have been impregnated by the rays of the sun-god Baal and she brought forth a son and named him Tammuz. As a boy Tammuz was especially fond of rabbits and they became sacred in the ancient religion because Tammuz was believed to be the son of the Sun God, Baal. Like his father, he became a hunter…often depicted with the bow.

Tammuz was hunting in the woods one day and encountered a wild boar. The legend goes that he was killed by that wild boar. (Some stories report that after three days, Tammuz revived…) Queen Ishtar told the people that Tammuz was now ascended to his father Baal and that the two of them would be with the worshippers in the sacred candle or flame as father, son and spirit…the spirit being the fire…Ishtar was now worshipped as the “Mother of God” and the “Queen of Heaven” and the Mystery Queen of Heaven Babylonian religion was born…and in some form, has passed to all peoples and times throughout the history of man…(Picture 2 and 3).

It was circulated that when Tammuz was killed by a wild pig some of his blood fell on a stump of an evergreen tree and the stump grew into a full new tree overnight. This made the evergreen tree sacred in the Ancient Mystery Babylon religion. Ishtar proclaimed a forty-day period of time of sorrow each year for Tammuz. Ezekiel mentions in Ezekiel 8:14, “So He brought me to the door of the north gate of the Lord’s house; and to my dismay, women were sitting there weeping for Tammuz.” During these 40 days no meat was to be eaten and worshippers were to meditate on the sacred mysteries of Baal and Tammuz by making cakes with a “T” on them and by making a sign of a “T” in front of their hearts in an act of worship… Already you see some even modern-day acts and traditions begin to emerge. From Christmas trees, to hot-cross buns, and even the making of the sign of the cross over one’s chest.

Every year, on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox, a celebration was made. It was Ishtar’s Sunday and it was celebrated with the beloved rabbit and with eggs. (Picture 4) Pig or ham was also eaten in remembrance of her lost son Tammuz. So very interesting…this “form of religion” fell out of favor when Christianity broke the scene with Constantine in 312 AD but as the worship silenced, the festivals, the remembrances, the cultural traditions and rituals somewhat amplified…as Ishtar, Nimrod and Tammuz are still a part of mostly all world cultures in some way, even today and our culture, world culture…essentially all of the sacred elements prevail…

Still today, every year, on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the Spring Equinox, we paint eggs, gift to one another chocolate bunnies and hide those eggs in the forest. The truth about Easter is that logistically it has only a familiar link to the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Easter itself can be as much as three weeks away from the Passover because the holiday is always set as the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox.

And so, we have the ancient origins of the forty days of Lent, Easter, Easter eggs, the Easter Bunny, hot cross buns, the Easter ham and even the crossing of the chest we see prevail in some religious traditions today…but we are only yet approaching the rabbit hole…Ishtar was said to have been impregnated on the first Sunday after the first full moon of the spring equinox…the ancient beginning of what we call Easter today and if you march 9 months from Easter, what do you arrive upon? You got it…Christmas. Known as Saturnalia in previous cultures, Winter Solstice, Winter Harvest, many names but is indeed a carryover of this Mystery Queen of Babylon Religion.

How was this holiday celebrated? We have that in the Bible…Jeremiah 10:1-4, in speaking about the warring gods, the prophet Jeremiah writes, “Do not be dismayed at the signs of heaven, for the gentiles are dismayed at them. For the customs of the peoples are futile; For one cuts a tree from the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the ax. They decorate it with silver and gold; They fasten it with nails and hammers so that it will not topple.” Wow, right? The Yule log…the candles in the windows, even jingle bells…(Picture 5) you can take almost all of what we love and enjoy today and have redeemed for the name of Jesus and you can trace it right back to this guy…Nimrod….

And all of that was joined to Christianity under Constantine. Pagan images and statues of Zeus/Nimrod, Ishtar, Ashtaroth, Baal and Tammuz were welcomed into the churches but they were given “Christian” names such as Peter or Mary. Specifically, Artemis or Diana or Isis or Ishtar or Semiramus worship was changed to Mary worship. Worshippers referred to her as the “great virgin” and the “Mother of God” which were titles previously ascribed to Semiramus. Some surviving images of Isis holding the child Horus…or Semiramus holding the child Tammuz…can be viewed today and you can’t tell them apart from modern statues depicting Mary holding Jesus. (Picture 6)

This may enrage you and if so, I’m so sorry. That is not my intention. My intent is to educate. Mary was highly favored and very special indeed and yet at the same time, we should be careful not to put her up on a pedestal equal with God. She became a very convenient and unfortunate target of attention when Paganism became “Christianized.” She would have been the last person to want to take any focus or attention away from Jesus Christ. Gabriel calling her “favored one” in fact shows that she was the recipient of and not the giver of grace. While she was a remarkable and godly woman, she was still a woman and still a sinner. As for the predominantly Catholic position to pray to Mary and even worship Mary, this goes directly against the commands in the Bible to worship the Lord God only. She has no ability to answer our prayers.

Neither was she a perpetual virgin as is taught. We see she had at least six other children besides Christ and none of those were born out of virginity. Neither is she somehow the mediator of God’s grace to us or was she sinless. In Luke we read her words, “My spirit rejoices in God my Savior.” (Admitting she needs a Savior) The last words we hear from her are John 2:5, “Whatever He says to you, do it!”

Back to the story, at the time of Pergamos, under Constantine, Heathen temples were turned into nominal churches and pagan feasts continued however were given Christian names...same old paganism…just under a new name. And as people came together seemingly unified and appeased…and while Constantine believed that he was using the church to conquer the world, the opposite was happening. The world was conquering the church.

We don’t have time to look at an exhaustive study of pagan rituals absorbed into Christianity but I’ll just give you a few more. Mithraism (Picture 6) was a religion practiced in the Roman Empire beginning around the 1st Century AD. One of its key features was a sacrificial meal which involved eating the flesh and drinking the blood of a bull. When consumed, the people believed that the god MIthra was present in the flesh and blood of the bull, and would grant the worshippers salvation. This practice was replaced with the Christian communion by Constantine but is still very much alive even today known as the Eucharist/Transubstantiation. Mithraism also had seven sacraments or ceremonies that point to what is sacred…special occasions for experiencing God’s saving presence…the universal church has how many sacraments today? Seven.

A popular belief system in ancient Rome was henotheism. A henotheist believes in the existence of many gods but focuses on one primary or particular god, considering that god supreme over all the others. For example, the Roman god Jupiter was supreme over the Roman pantheon gods. Under Constantine these pantheon gods were renamed, as they had been done many times before, with the names of the saints. Just as the Romans had a god of love, a god of peace, a god of war, a god of strength…the traditional/orthodox church today has saints who are “in charge” of each of these, and many other categories. Just as many Roman cities had a god specific to the city, so the church now has “patron saints” for the cities.

The waving of incense, the chanting, the clergical garb…all originate in early neo-paganism…all the way back to Mesopotamian worship of the Queen of Heaven. (Picture 7) Ishtar became Easter and no longer was the miraculous impregnation of Semiramus worshiped but now the resurrection of Jesus Christ…yet the eggs and the painting of eggs remained…Saturnalia became Christmas and no longer was the birth of Tammuz celebrated but now the birth of Jesus Christ…yet the decorated trees, the yule logs and the jingle bells remain…

Constantine, instead of proclaiming the gospel and converting the pagans, he “Christianized” the pagan religions which didn’t Christianize them at all…what happened was Christianity became paganized. The questionable, unacceptable union…marriage of not the church to Jesus…but the church to the world!

So, what are we to do? Jesus said in John 8:32, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” We are in the world, free, alive unto Christ, and not asleep and unaware of what John wrote in 1 John 5:19, “The whole world lies in the power of the evil one.” So we draw near to God…and we, through allowing the Lord to live through us, in our lives, we light up the darkness…and the darkness is very thick…so thick that we don’t even perceive it anymore (final picture)…and so the words of Jesus to the Church in Pergamos…His message to us even today…

Revelation Chapter 2 Verses 16 – 17
•I love this. Jesus says turn away from this mixture of the world with My church. Have an ear to hear Me and Me alone and by that you can overcome! What happens when it’s just you and Jesus man…hidden manna! You think you need this ritual or that priest or this ceremony to fill you…to suffice you…you don’t. The things of the world even…they don’t satisfy. The hunger is always for more…what satisfies the heart of man…it’s this hidden manna. Closeness with God.
•You think you have, and we try to build our identity in career, accomplishments, religion or in your church. Not so. Your identity, your true identity, who you really are, who you really were made to be…God knows that…and He says here that He will write it on a white stone and no one knows it, or sees it but you and the Lord. So intimate.
•And you know what that also means? God is for you! Where do we get the term “black ball” from? You know like in voting, cast your vote of no by placing the black marble in the jar…well Jesus says here He will affirm you…He will confirm you…you need no church or priest or ceremony of confirmation… He is the Great Satisfier because to know Him and to be near to Him…that’s our original design and intent!
•Jesus says here, refuse this mixing of worldliness with your relationship with me. Set your mind on things above…on My word…on eternity…I alone will fill you and I will cast a white stone for you securing a place for you with me forever...
•In the eyes of the world, Constantine did a great thing…he brought peace, he brought stability, he brought unity…but in the history of the church…he brought tragedy. Because what he did confused and polluted the heart of the church and it remains today…both protestant and Orthodox… God is not the author of confusion…He is the Author of faith and that is how we are to come to Him, and that is it…by grace, through faith!

Apocalipsis Capítulo 2 Versículos 14-15

Le dijo a Balac que enviara a sus ardientes moabitas al campamento del ejército israelita y que incitaran a los hombres a tener relaciones con ellos, y parte de esa relación consistirá en que se inclinen ante un ídolo y, al hacerlo, ¡nieguen a su propio Dios! La idea era esencialmente ... me pagaste para que los maldijera ... si no puedo maldecirlos, bueno, puedo hacer que se maldigan ... y adivina qué. ¡Funcionó! (Y seguirá funcionando hasta que la Gran Ramera sea derrotada en Apocalipsis 18)

· Entonces, ¿cuál es la doctrina de Balaam? ¡La unión impía, inmoral, antinatural e inaceptable del mundo y los dioses extranjeros con el pueblo de Dios! Jesús continuó con respecto al comer de cosas sacrificadas a los ídolos y la inmoralidad sexual desenfrenada ... ambas formas de adoración neopagana.

· Y también, la doctrina de los Nicolaítas… que vimos a Jesús mencionar antes mientras estudiábamos la iglesia de Éfeso sin embargo fue odiada por la iglesia de Éfeso… pero abrazada por la iglesia en Pérgamo.

Las costumbres y prácticas paganas se unieron al cristianismo bajo los decretos de Constantino y Pérgamo fue la capital progresiva de todo.


¿Por qué? Porque cuando cayó Babilonia, el sacerdocio babilónico esencialmente se trasladó a Pérgamo. ¿Por que importa esto?

Antes de entrar en esto, permítanme decirles que les estoy dando los orígenes. Los estoy educando, no les estoy diciendo lo que tienen que hacer con todo esto. Todo lo que tienes que hacer es saberlo. Llévelo al Señor y ve lo que Él tiene para ustedes. Algunas personas aprenden estas cosas y se vuelven fanáticos, fariseos, matones, malvados y cosas por el estilo. Quiero recordarles que Colosenses 2:16 dice: “Nadie os juzgue en comida o bebida, o con respecto a una fiesta o una luna nueva o los sábados, que son una sombra de lo que vendrá, pero la sustancia es de Cristo. . " Además, Romanos 14: 1-9. Comparto todo esto primero porque lo que sea que decidas hacer con esto, debe hacerse para la gloria de Dios y odiar a tu hermano por tener un árbol de Navidad o porque celebrar la Pascua va en contra de la Palabra de Dios y no glorifica al Señor. ¿OK listo?

Apocalipsis capítulo 17 versículos 1 al 5; Apocalipsis Capítulo 18 Versículos 1 - 3; Apocalipsis Capítulo 19 Versículos 1 - 7. Fíjense, es después de que Babilonia, la gran ramera, la dueña/ señor de la creación ha caído que ahora la novia de Cristo está completamente lista, completamente preparada, y todo el cielo se regocija porque LA oposición ha sido despojada de todo poder como vemos aquí escrito, "¡Aleluya, porque reina el Señor Dios Omnipotente!" ¡Esta es una declaración de poder solidario y solidaridad en el poder! Todos los demás que han asumido el reinado han caído y solo queda Dios… y aquí está el misterio, todos los demás reinados son la falsificación original y nada más… la ramera, el Misterio, Babilonia la Grande. Esto es de lo que sabrás más y posiblemente comprenderás después de hoy.

Babilonia es y no solo fue un lugar, sino que representa y fue el nacimiento espiritual de la adoración a uno mismo. Lo que realmente se reduce hasta el mismo espíritu del mal y el pecado. La esencia del pecado, todo pecado. La naturaleza y el carácter de la rebelión y este sistema de adoración falso, esta gran ramera para apartar los afectos, lealtades y atenciones de la humanidad de Dios ha estado en escena desde que Satanás engañó a Eva y Adán se rebeló contra Dios. Tal como dijo Jesús en Mateo 7:15, “Cuídense de los falsos profetas (¿profetas de quién? ¡La Gran Ramera!) Que vienen apareciendo como ovejas pero por dentro son lobos hambrientos ". Y todos los habitantes de la tierra, todos los reyes, todas las naciones, todos los tiempos y todas las culturas y todas las generaciones han sido engañados y yacen bajo el engaño de la Gran Ramera. Al final, lo que acabamos de leer en Apocalipsis es la finalidad del juicio y la condenación de la raíz y sustancia misma de la caída del hombre. Empecemos desde el principio…
Dos mil años antes de que Jesús naciera en esta tierra, un bisnieto de Noé, hijo de Cam, hijo de Cus entra en escena con el nombre de Nimrod. Puedes leer sobre él en Génesis capítulo 10 y 11. (Lee Génesis 10: 8-11) Probablemente sea más conocido por construir la Torre de Babel. Evidentemente, se instaló en Babilonia... Él es el primer reino sobre la tierra, suplantando la omnipotencia de Dios, el reino de Dios.
Ahora, mencioné esto en mi estudio de Génesis 11, mi opinión, mi perspectiva, aparte de Jesucristo, el segundo hombre más influyente y fundamental que jamás haya caminado sobre la tierra fue este hombre, Nimrod. ¿Por qué? Bueno, es muy interesante. Jesús trajo luz. Trajo gracia y verdad. Él trajo la salvación y esa es Su bisagra, el mecanismo central, sobre de la que la humanidad depende. Nimrod trabaja en la oscuridad. El esta trabajando ahora y lo ha estado haciendo en todas las culturas y generaciones anteriores, y sin embargo, sutilmente escondido, pero fascinantemente ... a la vista. Se ha dicho: "El truco más grande que el diablo hizo fue convencer al mundo de que él no existía".
Nimrod y cómo fue utilizado y todavía se utiliza, una herramienta principal, por el enemigo trae rebelión ... pero rebelión resbaladiza. Rebelión viscosa. Rebelión que no es obvia con el puno en la cara, sino simplemente una inclinación hacia el mundo, hacia el hombre y lejos de la dependencia de Dios. Nimrod trae oscuridad cuando se le permite reinar. El engaño y el juicio y, en última instancia, su reinado pueden, ha tragado y se tragan las almas de hombres y mujeres en cada nación, lengua y época ...
Nimrod significa literalmente, "rebelión" o "rebelde", y la Biblia nos dice en Génesis 10 que él era un "Poderoso EN LA TIERRA, un poderoso cazador ante el Señor". ¿Qué hizo después de que la gente fuera esparcida… conquistó? Él estableció su propio reino ... el primer reino en la tierra ... un reino separado de Dios. Fue y es un prototipo, una imagen del Anticristo. Comenzó con Babel, que literalmente significa "puerta del cielo", para mantener el cielo fuera ... y desde allí pasó a conquistar y establecer muchas naciones, algunas de las cuales se nos dan en Génesis 10.

Entonces, ¿por qué sigue siendo tan relevante hoy? Probablemente estés pensando ... quiero decir, esto era Génesis y ahora está muerto ... cierto, pero aquí está el resto de la historia ... Algunos relatos de este hecho histórico también nombran a Semiramis como la esposa de Cus, lo que la convertiría en su madre ... sí, aqueroso ... o en una esposa compartida entre padre e hijo.

De cualquier manera, Semiramis era la esposa de Nimrod. Nimrod llegó a ser como un dios para el pueblo, un poderoso cazador ante el Señor, y en eso acumuló un gran poder que compartió con su esposa, la reina de la antigua Babilonia. Nimrod finalmente murió en la batalla y Semiramis, temiendo perder el poder, hizo la proclamación ideológica al pueblo de Babilonia de que Nimrod había ascendido al sol y, por lo tanto, su presencia aún sería real y se sentiría todos los días, pero ahora ya no es el mitad hombre mitad dios Nimrod, pero ahora era un dios completo y se llamaba Baal, que literalmente significa, el jefe… fue reconocido en la antigua Babilonia como deidad desde entonces, como el Dios Sol. Semiramus proclamó que Baal está presente en la tierra y en el cielo ... en el cielo como el sol y en la tierra como la llama y, por lo tanto, estaba creando una religión misteriosa en la que finalmente se erigió como diosa o sacerdotisa. Ella reveló a la gente que ella misma fue concebida inmaculadamente ... la hija de la luna mientras la luna atravesaba su ciclo de 28 días
y era fértil (ovulando) cuando estaba llena. Afirmó que bajó de la luna en un huevo lunar gigante que cayó al Éufrates en la primera luna llena después del equinoccio de primavera.

Se hizo conocida por su nombre de diosa "Ishtar" y la luna se conoció como "el huevo de Ishtar". Entonces Ishtar concibió, afirmando haber sido impregnada por los rayos del dios sol Baal y dio a luz un hijo y lo llamó Tamuz. Cuando era niño, a Tamuz le gustaban especialmente los conejos y se volvieron sagrados en la religión antigua porque se creía que Tamuz era el hijo del Dios Sol, Baal. Como su padre, se convirtió en cazador ... a menudo representado con el arco.
Un día, Tamuz estaba cazando en el bosque y se encontró con un jabalí. Cuenta la leyenda que fue asesinado por ese jabalí. (Algunas historias informan que después de tres días, Tamuz revivió ...) La reina Ishtar le dijo a la gente que Tamuz ahora había ascendido a su padre Baal y que los dos estarían con los adoradores en la vela o llama sagrada como padre, hijo y espíritu. ... el espíritu es el fuego ... Ishtar ahora era adorada como la "Madre de Dios" y la "Reina del Cielo" y la Reina Misteriosa del Cielo nació la religión babilónica ... y de alguna forma, ha pasado a todos los pueblos y épocas a lo largo del historia del hombre… (Imagen 2 y 3).
Se circuló que cuando Tamuz fue asesinado por un cerdo salvaje, parte de su sangre cayó sobre un tronco de un árbol de hoja perenne y el tronco se convirtió en un árbol completamente nuevo durante la noche. Esto hizo que el árbol de hoja perenne fuera sagrado en la religión del Antiguo Misterio de Babilonia. Ishtar proclamó un período de cuarenta días de dolor cada año para Tamuz. Ezequiel menciona en Ezequiel 8:14, “Entonces me llevó a la puerta de la puerta norte de la casa del Señor; y para mi consternación, las mujeres estaban sentadas allí llorando por Tamuz ”. Durante estos 40 días no se debía comer carne y los adoradores debían meditar en los misterios sagrados de Baal y Tamuz haciendo pasteles con una "T" en ellos y haciendo un signo de una "T" frente a sus corazones en un acto de adoración ... Ya ves que algunos actos y tradiciones incluso modernos comienzan a emerger. Desde árboles de Navidad, hasta panecillos hot-cross, e incluso la realización de la señal de la cruz sobre el pecho.

Todos los años, el primer domingo después de la primera luna llena después del equinoccio de primavera, se hacía una celebración. Era el domingo de Ishtar y se celebraba con el amado conejo y con huevos. (Lámina 4) También se comía cerdo o jamón en memoria de su hijo Tamuz. Muy interesante ... esta "forma de religión" cayó en desgracia cuando el cristianismo rompió la escena con Constantino en el año 312 A.C. pero a medida que el culto se silenciaba, las fiestas, los recuerdos, las tradiciones culturales y los rituales se amplificaban un poco ... como Ishtar, Nimrod y Tamuz todavía son parte de la mayoría de las culturas del mundo de alguna manera, incluso hoy y nuestra cultura, la cultura mundial ... esencialmente todos los elementos sagrados prevalecen ...

Aún hoy, todos los años, el primer domingo después de la primera luna llena después del Equinoccio de Primavera, pintamos huevos, nos regalamos conejitos de chocolate y escondemos esos huevos en el bosque. La verdad sobre la Pascua es que logísticamente solo tiene un vínculo familiar con la resurrección de Jesucristo. La Pascua misma puede estar a tres semanas de la Pascua porque la festividad siempre se establece como el primer domingo después de la primera luna llena después del equinoccio de primavera.

Y así, tenemos los orígenes ancestrales de los cuarenta días de Cuaresma, la Pascua, los huevos de Pascua, el Conejo de Pascua, los bollos calientes de la cruz, el jamón de Pascua y hasta el signo de cruz en el pecho que vemos prevalecer en algunas tradiciones religiosas de hoy… pero estamos todavía acercándose a la madriguera del conejo ... Se dice que Ishtar fue impregnada el primer domingo después de la primera luna llena del equinoccio de primavera ... el antiguo comienzo de lo que llamamos Pascua hoy y si marchas 9 meses desde Pascua, ¿a qué llegas?.....asi es...lo tienes...es ... Navidad. Conocido como Saturnalia en culturas anteriores, Solsticio de invierno, Cosecha de invierno, muchos nombres, pero de hecho es un remanente de esta Religión de la Reina Misteriosa de Babilonia.

¿Cómo se celebró esta festividad? Tenemos eso en la Biblia… Jeremías 10: 1-4, al hablar acerca de los dioses guerreros, el profeta Jeremías escribe: “No te asustes ante las señales del cielo, porque los gentiles están consternados ante ellas. Porque las costumbres de los pueblos son vanas; Porque se corta un árbol del bosque, obra de las manos del trabajador, con el hacha. Lo adornan con plata y oro; Lo sujetan con clavos y martillos para que no se caiga ". Vaya, ¿verdad? El tronco de Navidad ... las velas en las ventanas, incluso los cascabeles ... (Imagen 5) puedes tomar casi todo lo que amamos y disfrutamos hoy y has redimido por el nombre de Jesús y puedes rastrearlo hasta este tipo ... Nimrod ….

Y todo eso se unió al cristianismo bajo Constantino. Las imágenes y estatuas paganas de Zeus / Nimrod, Ishtar, Ashtaroth, Baal y Tamuz fueron bien recibidas en las iglesias, pero se les dio nombres “cristianos” como Pedro o María. Específicamente, la adoración de Artemisa o Diana o Isis o Ishtar o Semiramus se cambió a la adoración de María. Los adoradores se refirieron a ella como la "gran virgen" y la "Madre de Dios" que eran títulos previamente atribuidos a Semiramus. Algunas imágenes sobrevivientes de Isis sosteniendo al niño Horus ... o Semiramus sosteniendo al niño Tamuz ... se pueden ver hoy y no se pueden distinguir de las estatuas modernas que representan a María sosteniendo a Jesús. Esto quizás te haga enfurecer y si es así, lo siento mucho. Esa no es mi intención. Mi intención es educar. María fue muy favorecida y muy especial, sin embargo, al mismo tiempo, debemos tener cuidado de no ponerla en un pedestal igual a Dios. Se convirtió en un objeto de atención muy conveniente y desafortunado cuando el paganismo se "cristianizó". Ella habría sido la última persona en querer desviar el enfoque o la atención de Jesucristo. Gabriel llamándola "favorecida" de hecho muestra que ella era la destinataria y no la dador de la gracia. Si bien era una mujer extraordinaria y piadosa, todavía era una mujer y todavía una pecadora. En cuanto a la posición predominantemente católica de orar a María e incluso adorar a María, esto va directamente en contra de los mandatos de la Biblia de adorar solo al Señor Dios. Ella no tiene la capacidad de responder a nuestras oraciones.

Tampoco era virgen perpetua como se enseña. Vemos que tuvo al menos otros seis hijos además de Cristo y ninguno de ellos nació por virginidad. Tampoco es de alguna manera la mediadora de la gracia de Dios para con nosotros o no tuvo pecado. En Lucas leemos sus palabras: "Mi espíritu se regocija en Dios mi Salvador". (Admitiendo que necesita un Salvador) Las últimas palabras que escuchamos de ella son Juan 2: 5, "¡Todo lo que Él te diga, hazlo!"

Volviendo a la historia, en la época de Pérgamo, bajo Constantino, los templos paganos se convirtieron en iglesias nominales y las fiestas paganas continuaron, sin embargo, se les dio nombres cristianos ... el mismo paganismo de siempre ... solo con un nuevo nombre. Y a medida que la gente se unía aparentemente unificada y apaciguada ... y mientras Constantino creía que estaba usando la iglesia para conquistar el mundo, estaba sucediendo lo contrario. El mundo estaba conquistando la iglesia.

No tenemos tiempo para ver un estudio exhaustivo de los rituales paganos absorbidos por el cristianismo, pero les daré algunos más. El mitraísmo (Imagen 6) fue una religión practicada en el Imperio Romano a partir del siglo I d.C. Una de sus características clave era una comida de sacrificio que consistía en comer la carne y beber la sangre de un toro. Cuando se consumía, la gente creía que el dios Mitra estaba presente en la carne y la sangre del toro, y que otorgaría la salvación a los adoradores. Esta práctica fue reemplazada por la comunión cristiana por Constantino, pero aún hoy está muy viva, conocida como Eucaristía / Transubstanciación. El mitraísmo también tenía siete sacramentos o ceremonias que apuntan a lo que es sagrado ... ocasiones especiales para experimentar la presencia salvadora de Dios ... ¿cuántos sacramentos tiene la iglesia universal hoy? Siete.

Un sistema de creencias popular en la antigua Roma era el henoteísmo. Un henoteísta cree en la existencia de muchos dioses, pero se centra en un dios primario o en particular, considerando a ese dios supremo sobre todos los demás. Por ejemplo, el dios romano Júpiter era supremo sobre los dioses del panteón romano. Bajo Constantino, estos dioses del panteón fueron rebautizados, como se había hecho muchas veces antes, con los nombres de los santos. Así como los romanos tenían un dios del amor, un dios de la paz, un dios de la guerra, un dios de la fuerza… la iglesia tradicional / ortodoxa de hoy tiene santos que están “a cargo” de cada una de estas y muchas otras categorías. Así como muchas ciudades romanas tenían un dios específico para la ciudad, la iglesia ahora tiene "santos patrones" para las ciudades.

El agitar el incienso, el canto, el atuendo clerical ... todos se originan en el neopaganismo temprano ... todo el camino de regreso a la adoración mesopotámica de la Reina del Cielo. (Imagen 7) Ishtar se convirtió en Pascua (Easter) y ya no se adoraba la fecundación milagrosa de Semiramus, sino ahora la resurrección de Jesucristo ... sin embargo, los huevos y la pintura de los huevos permanecieron ... Saturnalia se convirtió en Navidad y ya no se celebraba el nacimiento de Tamuz, sino que ahora era el nacimiento de Jesucristo ... sin embargo, los árboles decorados, los troncos de Navidad y los cascabeles permanecen ...

Constantino, en lugar de proclamar el evangelio y convertir a los paganos, "cristianizó" las religiones paganas que no las cristianizaron en absoluto ... lo que sucedió fue que el cristianismo se paganizó. La unión cuestionable, inaceptable ... matrimonio no de la iglesia con Jesús ... ¡sino de la iglesia con el mundo!

¿Entonces, qué vamos a hacer? Jesús dijo en Juan 8:32: "Conocerás la verdad, y la verdad te hará libre". Estamos en el mundo, libres, vivos para Cristo, y no dormidos ni ignorantes de lo que Juan escribió en 1 Juan 5:19: "El mundo entero está en el poder del maligno". Entonces nos acercamos a Dios ... y nosotros, al permitir que el Señor viva a través de nosotros, en nuestras vidas, iluminamos la oscuridad ... y la oscuridad es muy espesa ... tan espesa que ni siquiera la percibimos más (imagen final ) ... y así las palabras de Jesús a la Iglesia en Pérgamo ... Su mensaje para nosotros incluso hoy …


Apocalipsis Capítulo 2 Versículos 16-17

· Me encanta esto. Jesús dice que se aparten de esta mezcla del mundo con Mi iglesia. ¡Ten un oído para Oírme a Mí y solo a Mí y así podrás vencer! ¿Qué sucede cuando solo estamos tú y Jesús, hombre ... maná escondido? Crees que necesitas este ritual o ese sacerdote o esta ceremonia para llenarte ... para que te baste ... no es así. Las cosas del mundo incluso ... no satisfacen. El hambre es siempre por más ... lo que satisface el corazón del hombre ... es este maná escondido. Cercanía con Dios.

· Ustedes creen que lo han logrado y tratamos de construir nuestra identidad en la carrera, los logros, la religión o en su iglesia. No es asi. Tu identidad, tu verdadera identidad, quién eres realmente, quién realmente fuiste creado para ser ... Dios lo sabe ... y Él dice aquí que lo escribirá en una piedra blanca y nadie lo sabe, o lo ve excepto tú y el Señor. Esto es Tan íntimo.

· ¿Y sabes lo que eso también significa? ¡Dios es para ti! ¿De dónde sacamos el término "bola negra"? Ya sabes, al votar, emitir tu voto de no colocando la canica negra en el frasco ... bueno, Jesús dice aquí Él te afirmará ... Él te confirmará ... no necesitas iglesia o sacerdote o ceremonia de confirmación ... Él es el Gran Satisfactor porque conocerlo y estar cerca de Él… ¡ese es nuestro diseño e intención originales!

· Jesús dice aquí, rechaza esta mezcla de mundanalidad con tu relación conmigo. Pon tu mente en las cosas de arriba ... en Mi palabra ... en la eternidad ... Solo Yo te llenaré y arrojaré una piedra blanca para ti asegurándote un lugar conmigo para siempre ...

· A los ojos del mundo, Constantino hizo una gran cosa… trajo paz, trajo estabilidad, trajo unidad… pero en la historia de la iglesia… trajo tragedia. Porque lo que hizo confundió y contaminó el corazón de la iglesia y permanece hoy… tanto protestante como ortodoxo… Dios no es el autor de la confusión… Él es el autor de la fe y así es como debemos venir a Él, y así es. eso ... ¡por gracia (Su gracia), a través de la fe!
