2 Corinthians 10 vs 1-6

2 Corinthians Chapter 10 Verses 1 – 3
•This is a key verse for the church and a key armament of the Christian. We walk in this world…in the physical realm…receiving and perceiving and making conclusions and reactions based on the circumstance…and that is entirely natural. But for the Christian, filled with the Holy Spirit, and trusting in the Lord, there is an entirely additional and strategic level of perception that flies right past the flesh in terms of superiority of understanding.
•And I want you to know, this war machine against waste, loss, regret and defeat in your life, and this weaponry for giving glory to God…walking in the Spirit…is something that can be developed, honed, increased…you can excel in this or it can be muted in your life…it’s all related to your heart for the Lord. Not necessarily your religiosity, your knowledge, your brute force memorization of scripture…no it’s this…the more of your heart you give to the Lord, the more He can replace it with His own…
•I remember the best wrestlers were not necessarily the strongest ones, the ones who trained the hardest, the ones who were in the best shape…many times the best wrestlers looked like they hadn’t ever even seen the gym…but they were the smartest. It’s like they just understood and could see more…so comfortable on the mat…They weren’t only reacting in a wrestling match to their opponents actions but they were learning their opponent second by second! From the beginning of the match they were seeing and exploiting upon and leveraging areas of opportunity to gain an advantage. It’s quite the same, second-naturally in the life of a born-again Spirit-led and Spirit-filled Christian!
•Yes, the actions of the circumstance are seen, perceived, understood but the reaction of the illuminated Christian is not based ONLY on the flesh. It’s based on the truth of the Word, the faithfulness of God, and the higher level of thinking found in the leading of the Holy Spirit. (And there’s whole patience building element here too as you learn that God is ALWAYS faithful to His Word!!)
•While the flesh calls for some sort of action, the Spirit squelches and tempers that call with the wisdom of God…so that we walk in victory!
•And so, listen, this is a ginormous benefit of being a Christian and if today you don’t war according to the Spirit then I invite you to the winner’s circle, man! To trust God, open your heart to Him more and more…to learn His Word and apply it and find yourself straining much less and winning much more!!
•Think of it this way…if Paul had warred according to the flesh then he would have went off at the Corinthians, burned the bridge, ruined his witness, testimony and ministry, ruined the support that they would eventually provide to the impoverished church in Jerusalem…and in the end of it all…blamed them for the whole situation! But…warring according to the Spirit…even though he was wronged, even though he was hurt, even though he was offended…he gained a family, many would come to faith, many would be fed and cared for in Jerusalem and 2000 years later we still continue to benefit from his faithfulness!
•Don’t limit God in your life, Christian…trust Him and allow Him to lead you to advantage, self-control and strategic wisdom!
2 Corinthians Chapter 10 Verses 4 – 6
•It’s an awesome statement, thought and truth…that obedience defeats disobedience! How is it that I will overcome arguments, trials of the flesh and everything that exalts itself against God and goodness in my life? By simply choosing to follow the Lord. Another way of saying, obeying God.
•It’s as simple as this…the war (not just battle – battles are won and lost and yet the war continues) for your life, your marriage, your attitude, your soul, your children, your in-laws, the list goes on and on…is not won with human methods. It can be fought using human methods but that’s like taking a knife to a gun fight…you end up on the losing end of the equation. The battle is won by following Jesus, plain and simple.
•And Paul says here, “Bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ…” Listen, only I have my thoughts, and same goes for you…and therefore, look the implication here is that I am to even have self-control in my thought-life…so listen, when excuses replace repentance in my life, I have only myself to blame! If I am a person of excuse after excuse for being this way or things not being right in this area of my life…then what I really am is warring according to the flesh…and that is yet again, the losing side of the equation!
•Please understand, we were all in a place of defeat, cornered in confusion…but God provided…He made a way when He sent Jesus to come into our defeat, enter into our confusion, and solve every wrong and resolve every offense by His death on a criminal’s cross. And now, 1 John 5:5 says, “Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” Paul would remind us of 2 Corinthians 2:14, “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ!”
•God has given us all that we need to be all that we ought to be in the trusting and following of His Son Jesus Christ. In the inviting of God Himself to overtake your heart and life, teach you how to fight in such a way as to win, teach you how to war according to the Spirit…and to walk alongside God Himself as He shows you personally all of these things and very much more.
•Paul said, “I have no greater joy than to know that my children walk in the truth…,” I would have not greater joy myself than to know my family also walks in overcoming victory as you walk with Christ.

· Este es un versículo clave para la iglesia y un armamento clave del cristiano. Caminamos en este mundo ... en el ámbito físico ... recibiendo y percibiendo y sacando conclusiones y reacciones basadas en las circunstancias ... y eso es completamente natural. Pero para el cristiano, lleno del Espíritu Santo, y confiando en el Señor, hay un nivel de percepción completamente adicional y estratégico que vuela más allá de la carne en términos de superioridad de comprensión.

· Y quiero que sepas, esta máquina de guerra contra el desperdicio, la pérdida, el arrepentimiento y la derrota en tu vida, y este armamento para glorificar a Dios ... caminar en el Espíritu ... es algo que se puede desarrollar, perfeccionar, aumentar ... puedes sobresalir en esto o puede silenciarse en su vida ... todo está relacionado con su corazón para el Señor. No necesariamente tu religiosidad, tu conocimiento, tu fuerza bruta memorización de las Escrituras ... no, es esto ... cuanto más de tu corazón le das al Señor, más El puede reemplazarlo con lo suyo ...

· Recuerdo que los mejores luchadores no eran necesariamente los más fuertes, los que entrenaban más duro, los que estaban en mejor forma ... muchas veces los mejores luchadores parecían nunca haber visto el gimnasio ... pero eran los más inteligente. Es como si acabaran de entender y pudieran ver más ... tan cómodos en el estera de lucha libre ... ¡No solo reaccionaban en un combate de lucha libre a las acciones de sus adversarios, sino que aprendían a su adversario segundo a segundo! Desde el comienzo del partido estaban viendo y explotando y aprovechando áreas de oportunidad para obtener una ventaja. ¡Es lo mismo, llega instativamente en la vida de un cristiano nacido de nuevo y lleno de espíritu!
Sí, las acciones de la circunstancia se ven, se perciben, se entienden, pero la reacción del cristiano iluminado no se basa SOLO en el
carne. Se basa en la verdad de la Palabra, la fidelidad de Dios y el nivel superior de pensamiento que se encuentra en la dirección del Espíritu Santo. (¡Y aquí también hay un elemento de construcción de paciencia al aprender que Dios SIEMPRE es fiel a Su Palabra!)

· Mientras que la carne requiere algún tipo de acción, el Espíritu silencia y tempera con la sabiduría de Dios ... ¡para que caminemos en victoria!

· Entonces, escucha, este es un beneficio enorme de ser cristiano y si hoy no luchas según el Espíritu, ¡te invito al círculo de ganadores, amigo! ¡Para confiar en Dios, abre tu corazón a Él más y más ... para aprender Su Palabra y aplicarla y encontrarte esforzándote mucho menos y ganando mucho más!

· Piénselo de esta manera ... si Pablo hubiera luchado de acuerdo con la carne, se habría explosionado a los Corintios, habría quemado el puente, arruinado su testimonio y ministerio, arruinado el apoyo que eventualmente brindarían a la iglesia empobrecida en Jerusalén ... y al final de todo ... ¡los culpó a ellos de toda la situación! Pero ... en guerra según el Espíritu ... a pesar de que fue perjudicado, a pesar de que estaba herido, a pesar de que se ofendió ... ganó una familia, muchos vendrían a la fe, muchos serían alimentados y cuidados en Jerusalén y 2000 años después ¡Seguimos beneficiándonos de su fidelidad!

· No limites a Dios en tu vida, cristiano ... ¡confía en Él y permite que te guíe hacia la ventaja, el autocontrol y la sabiduría estratégica!

2 Corintios Capítulo 10 Versículos 4 - 6

· Es una declaración, un pensamiento y una verdad asombrosos ... ¡que la obediencia vence a la desobediencia! ¿Cómo es que venceré los argumentos, las pruebas de la carne y todo lo que se exalta contra Dios y lo bueno en mi vida? Simplemente eligiendo seguir al Señor. Otra forma de decir, obedeciendo a Dios.

Es tan simple como esto ... la guerra (no solo la batalla: las batallas se ganan y se pierden y, sin embargo, la guerra continúa) por su vida, su matrimonio, su actitud, su alma, sus hijos, sus suegros, la lista continúa ... no se gana con métodos humanos. Se puede luchar usando métodos humanos, pero eso es como llevar un cuchillo a un tiroteo ... terminas en el extremo perdedor de la ecuación. La batalla se gana siguiendo a JesúCristo, simple y llanamente.

· Y Pablo dice aquí: "Llevando cada pensamiento en cautiverio a la obediencia a Cristo ..." Escucha, solo yo tengo mis pensamientos, y tu tienes los propios ... y por lo tanto, mira la implicación aquí, es que incluso debo tener autocontrol en mi vida mental ... así que escucha, cuando las excusas reemplazan el arrepentimiento en mi vida, ¡solo tengo la culpa de mí mismo! Si soy una persona de excusa tras excusa por ser así o las cosas no están bien en esta área de mi vida ... ¡entonces lo que realmente estoy haciendo es luchando según la carne ... y eso es una vez más, el lado perdedor de la ecuación!

· Por favor, comprenda, todos estábamos en un lugar de derrota, arrinconados en confusión ... pero Dios proveyó ... Él abrió un camino cuando envió a Jesús para venir a nuestra derrota, entrar en nuestra confusión y resolver cada error y resolver cada ofensa por Su muerte en la cruz de un criminal. Y ahora, 1 Juan 5: 5 dice: "¿Quién es el que vence al mundo, sino el que cree que Jesús es el Hijo de Dios?" Pablo nos recordaría a 2 Corintios 2:14, "¡Ahora, gracias a Dios que siempre nos guía en el triunfo en Cristo!"

· Dios nos ha dado todo lo que necesitamos para ser todo lo que debemos ser en la confianza y el seguimiento de Su Hijo Jesucristo. Al invitar a Dios mismo a alcanzar tu corazón y tu vida, enseñarte a pelear para ganar, enseñarte a luchar según el Espíritu ... y a caminar junto a Dios mientras Él te muestra personalmente todas estas cosas y mucho más.

· Pablo dijo: "No tengo mayor alegría que saber que mis hijos caminan en la verdad ...", no tendría mayor alegría que saber que mi familia también camina para vencer la victoria mientras caminas con Cristo.
