Revelation 3 vs 14-22

Revelation Chapter 3 Verse 14
•Six miles south of Philadelphia and not far from Colossae, was the affluent, financial center of the region, Laodicea. This city seemingly had it all from a thirty thousand seat amphitheatre whose ruins still stand today to being world renowned for its niche products like black wool and eye salve.
•They were the do-it-yourselfers…the I-don’t-need thinkers…the I’m just fine folks…the ones who relied upon themselves and their wealth and their ability to influence financially and politically…so much so that around 60 AD the entire city was nearly destroyed by a massive earthquake. Buildings demolished; homes plundered by the disaster. Rome sent resources and a pledge to help them rebuild. They refused. They responded, we need no help, we will rebuild ourselves. And with their great personal wealth, they did. Pride is so stupid! I mean, why not let Rome foot the bill?
•What’s interesting is that today the site of Laodicea is a deserted heap of ruins that the Turks call Eski Hisar or “Old Castle.” And that is what always will be the end of pride…a deserted, lonely, hollow heap of ruins…unless…unless you and I feed the wickedness and egos of those that walk in pride. Some pride-filled self-serving wickedness-centered folks will die with people all around them, worshipping them…catering to their wickedness. Let me tell you, we are not called to that. We are called to confront evil and correct, rebuke, exhort and teach that the man of God may be complete, that is what 2 Timothy 3:16 says.
•Ephesians 5:11 says, “Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.” Which means even at times standing in opposition, against…even not at peace with them, for the sake of not fellowshipping with the stench of pride and sin, and by fellowshipping in it…encouraging it to continue! Psalm 18:25-27 says, “With the merciful You will show Yourself merciful; With a blameless man You will show Yourself blameless; With the pure You will show Yourself pure; and with the devious You will show Yourself shrewd. For You will save the humble people, but will bring down haughty looks.”
•It is our job to bring heaven to earth. That’s what Jesus did…Let me tell you, there are no prideful, unaffectionate, unloving, unserving, unpleasant, unkind, unhospitable people in heaven. What a tragedy for one to live their life claiming to serve Jesus only to arrive in heaven and realize all was loss and an entire life was wasted, their life…because no one would call them out, hold them accountable…reveal to them how incomplete they are…for the sake of risking the confrontation…
•Back to the text, interestingly and relevant, Laodicea was known throughout history as being very tricky politically because the city was built in a way that it could not defend itself militarily, a very unusual trait for an ancient city. The only way Laodicea could survive and flourish was by making deals…compromises with her enemies. Quite relevant when we read what Jesus will say to this group.
•Notice…Jesus does not address His letter to the church at Laodicea, but to the church of the Laodiceans. Of the four end times churches you see “To the angel of the church in Thyatira…to the angel of the church in Sardis…to the angel of the church in Philadelphia…” But here, now…, “To the angel of the church of the Laodiceans.”
•Not even to the church of Laodicea…but rather the church of the Laodiceans! Why? Well, break down the word. The Greek word laos, from which we get our word “laity,” means “people.” Diece means “decision” or “rule.” So, you see it wasn’t the church of Jesus in Laodicea, it was the church OF THE people, the people ruled it…the church was directed by the people rather than guided by the Lord.
•The Laodicean mentality is alive, well and on the scene today! From the megachurch to the corner chapel whose services regularly include political interviews or celebrity spotlights as their focus…people serving as they please and leading as they please without any Godly accountability in their lives. Churches that have not taken a stand against the decay and death associated with sin…positive story lines instead of biblical truth in their teachings and where “feel good today” has replaced a call to repentance.
•We have heard the term “seeker friendly,” and in title that term denotes a church that is friendly for those seeking to know more about God but what it has become is a church structure, system and service that caters to the people. This is wild, because the Jesus said in John 4:23, “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.” It is the Father that is seeking…and truly as a church we ought to be Seeker friendly while not catering to the people but to God.
•I was never looking for a church to be culturally cool when I was looking for God. I was looking for something different than what I could find in the world. Something that wasn’t plastic and fake and artificial and some sort of production or show to capture my attention. I wanted authentic…and if that wasn’t there then God must not really be there either. We are Seeker friendly here…because God is seeking to set you free!
•This church represents the final church age. The church age that will be prominent and popular right before the Lord calls His church unto Himself. This church age dates from about the mid 1900s until today. The church that will not only compromise with the world but rather will simply be the world…proud and loud, self sufficient, fully infiltrated and utterly pathetic.
Revelation Chapter 3 Verse 14b - These things says the Amen
•These things says the “Amen” which means “so be it.” The final Word. The Lord identifies Himself to this group so prone to compromise, self-sufficiency and indefinite doctrine…saying, “There IS certainty. There IS absolute. It is Me.”
Revelation Chapter 3 Verse 14c
•These things says The faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God. Don’t get this twisted like the cults do…this isn’t the beginning at creation, this is the Greek word “arche” which means He is the origin, the source of the creation. Colossians 1:16 tells us that God the Father created all things through the Son…and what this hints at is that in the last days, the question will be and even is now, “Who is the Creator, even if there is one?” (Maybe we will find the answer on Mars)
Revelation Chapter 3 Verse 15 – 16
•The church in Laodicea would understand lukewarm. In Laodicea’s sister city of Hierapolis there were hot springs…they’re still there today. To take advantage of this, an aqueduct was constructed that carried hot water from Hierapolis through Laodicea and on to Colossae. Seems like a good idea but by the time the water reached Laodicea it was lukewarm.
•Hot water is useful because it can be used for bathing and cleaning. Even cold water is quite refreshing on a hot day…but lukewarm water is really good for nothing. It’s gross to drink and useless in cleaning because as it sat it would be a breeding ground for bacteria. The aqueduct was a waste!
•And Jesus would say to them and to us today, “Hey, if you’re hot, I can use you! If you’re cold, I can clean you…deal with you. But if you’re lukewarm, you’ll neither be hot enough to use nor cold enough to correct…and so you make Me sick.” Why? Like in an angry way Lord? No like in a horrifying way!
•The sense of dread that you have something so wonderful for your beloved, for your child. Protection and provision and blessing and joy…and yet they refuse their inheritance and suffer in stupidity! Doesn’t that just immediately make you sick to your stomach! Man, that’s what He’s talking about here! His plan for you and for me…so wonderful! The life that is available to us in Jesus…eternally significant immediately…yet so many choose poorly! Like literally to be poor…poor in character, poor in passion, poor in potential when receiving what God Almighty has for you is right there and available…
•Interestingly, leaving the illustration of the aqueduct, lukewarm water is made by mixing a little cold with a little hot. Is that my relationship with God? It will be a breeding ground for mold…
Revelation Chapter 3 Verse 17
•The key phrase here is, “Do not know.” That’s somewhat of a terrifying phrase. This is a call for this church to wake up to things that they either have missed or things that they have willingly denied…they are a certain way and yet they say they are opposite. What would God say of you…what would others say of you…what would you spouse say of you…would it be the same that you say about yourself? Who is right? Do you want to know? This is difficult territory… The fact is we are not who we think we are…we are who God says we are…because He is the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness… Now, are you going to do anything about it? The Lord mentions the three things that they use to identify their own affluence, their own identify of success…God disagrees with them on all fronts…
Revelation Chapter 3 Verse 18
•This is major. Jesus says, “Come and buy.” To buy something implies that you have money. And money comes from what? Trees? No. Daddy? No. Money comes from putting in work. You have GOT to put some work in in order to KNOW what’s really up. Learning and internalizing and submitting to the Word of God has completely changed my life. Intimacy with Jesus has completely changed my life. All for the entire BETTER. And both of those things have taken an immense amount of work…but the results? Pure and eternal wealth…, “Gold refined in the fire.” Purity of vision, understanding and character…, “Rich, white garments and eyes anointed with eye salve.” So many wonderfully missed opportunities for pain, disaster, cruelty and torture of self…as I actively identify wastefulness, degradation and the nonsense of the flesh…, “Nakedness may not be revealed.” And who is the Merchant of all of these things? The Lord Himself. It is from Him and only Him that you can get these things… Grace is free, salvation is free…but these things…wisdom, truth, vision, understanding, reality, character and strength…they must be bought…you have got to put in work. I heard it said this week, something like, “I will not stop striving to grow in my relationship with the Lord, not because I am afraid of what God will do to me if I don’t, but I’m afraid of what God will not do through me if I don’t.”
•Practical example. You’ve been married for quite some time. Things are not going well. You sit and discuss with your spouse. She tells you that she doesn’t feel loved. You assure her that you do love her…but she says saying it once a week isn’t enough. You walk away, because you don’t know what to do. Its just not your nature to do anything else. You go about your life. And your marriage struggles continue. OR…you go to work.
•You put your phone down, turn off the TV, take a few hours off from work, cancel your golf game…you make some time…you sit, with a notebook and you think about new ways you can show your wife you love her. You do a little Google work. You call your friend who is a great husband (if you have my number) and ask him to brainstorm with you for 5 minutes! That list becomes your plan. And one hour worth of work changes your entire marriage!
•No, its not that you don’t know what do to…its that you won’t put in the work. It’s the same with your walk with the Lord. If things aren’t where you want them to be…or if things are just continually a disaster…, “I counsel you,” to go the Lord and buy some stuff…put in some work.
Revelation Chapter 3 Verse 19
•Look I’m calling you out because I love you, He says to them! That’s the reason why any of us call you out of some sort of sin…if we didn’t care then we’d see you blind and wrapped in chains and we’d love to leave you there! Yet so many get so angry and bitter when we say to them, look man you gotta repent! Please! We’re trying to save you out of the situation that Jesus just described!
•Proverbs 9:8 says that if you rebuke a wise man…that he will LOVE YOU!!!! But if you rebuke a mocker, he will hate you. They mocked Jesus that day as they shoved the crown of thorns on HIS head…when it belonged on theirs! If Jesus abides in you then correction, rebuke will be like ice-cold refreshing water…may cause pain to the teeth…what you use to chew up and rip apart but so excellent and refreshing going down the gullet!
Revelation Chapter 3 Verse 20
•He says to the church! Not to unbelievers! To the church here that He is on the outside still! And many come to church and have gone to church their whole lives and yet Jesus remains on the other side of closed door. But He says, let me in and I will come and dine with you!
•I believe this is speaking of oneness with the Lord. Intimacy and closeness with Jesus, God Himself. First you have to be willing to hear and then you have to do something about…implied here by God’s command to open the door…then Jesus will make Himself at home in your heart and life. And if it’s Jesus’ house, the house of the King, it’s going to be luxurious.
Revelation 3:21
•I love this because what He’s saying is “son, daughter, child…open your heart to Me…and I’ll open heaven to you!” And we also have this wonderful clue that by coming to Him, putting in work and allowing God to open our eyes, fill our hearts and minds with righteousness and understanding…that it is in that we are enabled to overcome…overcome what? Nothing given…just overcome….across the board.
Revelation 3:22
•To all the churches…to the church of the Laodiceans…to the final church…the lukewarm church…even to us…it’s one thing to have Jesus as a Model or a Mascot. That’s what they were doing at Laodicea. It’s a completely different thing to have Him as Master…as my/your Commander…My Savior AND My Lord. That’s what He’s asking of this congregation…and that’s what He’s asking of you and me.
•May this place not be filled with folks that have good Biblical knowledge and good intentions but may it be filled with people that realize that although we are sinners who have failed miserably, God has provided Jesus to make us right…fix us up…fill us up…and bring us into abundant and eternal life…
•If the door is closed today, if the water of your spirit is lukewarm, hear what the Spirit says…you’re heading for misery, shame and poverty…when fullness, fruitfulness…that lasts forever is readily available to you in Jesus.


Apocalipsis Capítulo 3 Versículo 14
●Seis millas al sur de Filadelfia y no lejos de Colosas, estaba el próspero centro financiero de la región, Laodicea . Aparentemente, esta ciudad lo tenía todo en un anfiteatro de treinta mil asientos cuyas ruinas aún se conservan hoy en día y son mundialmente reconocidas por sus productos de nicho como lana negra y colirio.
●Eran las personas que hicieron cosas ellos mismos ... las que-no-necesidad pensadores ... la estoy bien gente ... los que dependían de sí mismos y su riqueza y su capacidad de influir económicamente y politicamente ... tanto que alrededor del 60 d.C. la ciudad entera fue casi destruida por un terremoto masivo. Edificios demolidos; casas saqueadas por el desastre. Roma envió recursos y un compromiso para ayudarlos a reconstruir. Ellos rechazaron. Ellos respondieron, no necesitamos ayuda, nos reconstruiremos. Y con su gran riqueza personal, lo hicieron. ¡El orgullo es tan estúpido! Quiero decir, ¿por qué no dejar que Roma pague la factura?
●Lo interesante es que hoy en día el sitio de Laodicea es un montón de ruinas desierta que los turcos llaman Eski Hisar o “Castillo Viejo.” Y eso es lo que siempre será el fin del orgullo ... un montón de ruinas vacías, solitario y vacío ... a menos que ... a menos que tú y yo sintamos la maldad y el ego de aquellos que caminan en el orgullo. Algunos lleno de orgullo auto-servicio, centrados-en-la-iniquidad gente que van a morir con gente a su alrededor, adorándolos…..atendiendo a su maldad. Déjame decirte que no estamos llamados a eso. Estamos llamados a confrontar el mal y corregir, reprensión exhorta y enseña para que el hombre de Dios sea completo, eso es lo que dice en 2 Timoteo 3:16.
●Efesios 5:11 dice: “No participéis en las obras infructuosas de las tinieblas, sino más bien desenmascaradlas.” Lo que significa que incluso en momentos de estar de pie en oposicion, contra ... ni siquiera en paz con ellos, por el bien de no tener comunión con el hedor del orgullo y el pecado, y por compañerismo en ella ... animandolo a continuar! El Salmo 18: 25-27 dice: “Con el misericordioso serás misericordioso; Con un hombre íntegro te mostrarás íntegro; Con los puros te mostrarás puro; con los perverso te mostrarás perspicaz. Para que te puede ahorrar el pueblo humilde, pero derribará las miradas altivas."
●Nuestro trabajo es traer el cielo a la tierra. Que es lo que hizo Jesús ... Déjeme decirle, no hay ninguna orgulloso, poco carinoso, sin afecto natural, desatendiendo, desagradable, poco amable, inhospita gente en el cielo. Qué tragedia para que uno vive su vida reclamando para servir a Jesús sólo para llegar en el cielo y darse cuenta de todo era la pérdida de toda una vida se pierde, su vida ... porque nadie los dijeron ni los haria responsables ... revelarles cómo tan incompleta son ... por arriesgar el enfrentamiento….
●Volver al texto, interesante y relevante, Laodicea era conocida a traves de historia como una cuidad que era muy complicado políticamente porque la ciudad fue construida en una manera que no podía defenderse militarmente, un rasgo muy inusual para una ciudad antigua. La única forma en que Laodicea podía sobrevivir y prosperar era haciendo tratos ... compromisos con sus enemigos. Muy relevante cuando leemos lo que Jesús le dirá a este grupo.
●Nota ... Jesús no se ocupa de su carta a la iglesia en Laodicea, sino a la iglesia de los de Laodicea. De las cuatro iglesias finales que se ve “al ángel de la iglesia en Tiatira ... al ángel de la iglesia en Sardis ... al ángel de la iglesia en Filadelfia ...” Pero aquí, ahora ... , “ Al ángel de la iglesia de los de Laodicea”.
●Ni siquiera a la iglesia de Laodicea… ¡sino a la iglesia de los Laodicenses! ¿Por qué ? Bueno, analiza la palabra. La palabra griega laos, de la cual obtenemos nuestra palabra "laicos", significa "pueblo". Diece significa "decisión" o "regla". Entonces, ves que no era la iglesia de Jesús en Laodicea, era la iglesia DEL pueblo, el pueblo la gobernaba … la iglesia era dirigida por el pueblo en lugar de guiada por el Señor .
●¡La mentalidad de Laodicea está viva y en escena hoy! Desde la megaiglesia hasta la capilla de la esquina, cuyos servicios incluyen regularmente entrevistas políticas o focos de celebridad como su enfoque ... personas que sirven como les place y lideran como les place sin ninguna responsabilidad piadosa en sus vidas. Las iglesias que no han tomado una posición en contra de la decadencia y la muerte asociada con el pecado ... historia positivas en lugar de la verdad bíblica en sus enseñanzas y donde “se siente bien hoy” ha sustituido a una llamada al arrepentimiento.
●Hemos escuchado el término “amigable para los buscadores, ” y en el título ese término denota una iglesia que es amigable para gente quienes estan tratando de saber más acerca de Dios, sino que lo que se ha convertido es una estructura de la iglesia, el sistema y el servicio que atiende a las gente. Esta es salvaje, porque Jesús dijo en Juan 4:23, “Mas la hora viene, y ahora es, cuando los verdaderos adoradores adorarán al Padre en espíritu y en verdad; porque el Padre está buscando tales para adorarlo.” Es el Padre que está buscando … y verdaderamente como iglesia debemos ser amigable a buscadores sin atender a la gente sino a Dios.
●Nunca busqué una iglesia que fuera culturalmente genial cuando buscaba a Dios. Yo estaba buscando algo diferente de lo que podría encontrar en el mundo. Algo que no era plástico y falso y artificial y algun tipo de producción a captar mi atención. Yo quería auténtica ... y si todo esto no existiera ahi, entonces Dios realmente no habia ahi tampoco. Estamos buscador agradable aquí ... porque Dios esta buscndote para liberarte!
●Esta iglesia representa la edad final de la iglesia. La era de la iglesia que va a ser prominente y popular justo antes de que el Señor llama a su iglesia a sí mismo . Esta edad de la iglesia data desde mediados del 1900’s hasta la actualidad. La iglesia que no solo se comprometerá con el mundo, sino que simplemente será el mundo ... orgullosa y ruidosa, autosuficiente, completamente infiltrada y absolutamente patética.
Apocalipsis capítulo 3 Verse 14b - Estas cosas dice el Amén
●Estas cosas dice el "Amén" que significa "así sea". La Palabra final. El Señor se identifica a sí mismo a este grupo que es tan propenso al compromiso, auto-suficiente y doctrina indefinida... diciendo, “HAY certeza. HAY absoluto. Soy yo."
Apocalipsis capítulo 3 versículo 14C
●Estas cosas dicen El testigo fiel y verdadero, el principio de la creación de Dios. No se tuerza como lo hacen los cultos… este no es el comienzo de la creación, esta es la palabra griega “arche” que significa que Él es el origen, la fuente de la creación. Colosenses 1:16 nos dice que Dios el Padre creó todas las cosas a través del Hijo ... y lo que esto sugiere es que en los últimos días, la pregunta será e incluso ahora, "¿Quién es el Creador, aunque haya uno? " (Quizás encontremos la respuesta en Marte)
Revelación Capítulo 3 Versiculos 15 - 16
●La iglesia de Laodicea entendería tibia. En Hierápolis, la ciudad hermana de Laodicea, había fuentes termales ... todavía están allí hoy. Para aprovechar esto, se construyó un acueducto que transportaba agua caliente desde Hierápolis a través de Laodicea y luego hasta Colosas. Parece una buena idea, pero cuando el agua llegó a Laodicea estaba tibia.
●El agua caliente es útil porque se puede usar para bañarse y limpiar. Incluso el agua fría es bastante refrescante en un día caluroso ... pero el agua tibia no sirve para nada. Es desagradable para beber e inútil en la limpieza, porque a medida que se sentó sería un caldo de cultivo para la bacteria. ¡El acueducto era un desperdicio!
●Y Jesús diría a ellos ya nosotros hoy en día, “Oye, si es que está caliente, puedo usar! Si tienes frío, puedo limpiarte ... tratar contigo. Pero si usted es tibio, no eres lo suficientemente caliente para hacer uso, sino suficientemente frío como para corijirlo ... y por lo cual me ponen enfermo”. ¿Por qué? ¿Como de una manera enojada Señor? ¡No, de una manera horrible !
●La sensación de pavor de que tienes algo tan maravilloso para tu amada, para tu hijo. Protección y provisión y bendición y alegría ... y sin embargo, rechazan su herencia y sufrir en la estupidez! ¿No te revuelve el estómago de inmediato? ¡Hombre, de eso está hablando aquí! Su plan para ti y para mí ... ¡tan maravilloso! La vida que está disponible para nosotros en Jesús ... eternamente significante inmediatamente ... sin embargo, por lo que muchos lo eligen mal! Al igual como literalmente ser pobre ... pobre en el carácter, en la pasión pobres, pobres en potentes que otros cuando se recibe lo que Dios Todopoderoso tiene para usted es justo y disponible...
●Curiosamente, dejando a la ilustración del acueducto, agua tibia está hecho por mesclando un poco frío con un poco de calor. ¿Es esa mi relación con Dios? Será un caldo de cultivo para el moho...
Apocalipsis Capítulo 3 Versículo 17
●La frase clave de ella es: “No sabe.” Es una frase aterradora. Este es un llamado para esta iglesia para despertar a las cosas que han perdido o cosas que han negado buen grado ... que son de una cierta manera y sin embargo dicen que son contrario. ¿Qué diría Dios de ti ... qué dirían los demás de ti ... qué diría tu cónyuge de ti ... sería lo mismo que dices de ti mismo? ¿Quién tiene razon? ¿Quieres saber ahora? Este es un territorio difícil ... El hecho es que no somos quienes pensamos que somos ... somos quienes Dios dice que somos ... porque Él es el Amén, el Testigo Fiel y Verdadero ... Ahora, ¿vas a hacer algo al respecto? El Señor menciona las tres cosas que usan para identificar su propia riqueza, su propia identificación de éxito ... Dios no está de acuerdo con ellos en todos los frentes ...
Apocalipsis Capítulo 3 Versículo 18
●Esto es importante. Jesús dice: “Ven y compra.” Comprar algo implica que tienes dinero. ¿Y el dinero viene de qué? ¿Árboles? No. ¿Papá? No. El dinero proviene de poner trabajo. Tienes que poner un poco de trabajo para que SABES lo que es realmente pasando. El aprendizaje y la internalización y la submision a la Palabra de Dios ha cambiado completamente mi vida. La intimidad con Jesús ha cambiado mi vida por completo. Todo para la MEJOR. Y ambas cosas han tomado una inmensa cantidad de trabajo ... pero los resultados? Pura y eterna riqueza ..., “Oro refinado en el fuego.” Puridad de la visión, en conocimiento y carácter ... , “Rico, ropas blancas y ojos ungidos con colirio.” Muchos maravillosamente oportunidades perdidos para el dolor, desastre, la crueldad y la tortura de uno mismo ... como me identifico activamente donde haya despilfarro, la degradación y la disparates de la carne ... , “Desnudez tal vez no puede ser revelada.”¿Y quién es el comerciante de todas estas cosas? El Señor mismo. Es a partir de Él y sólo de Él estoy que usted puede conseguir estas cosas ... La gracia es gratuita, la salvación es gratis ... pero estas cosas ... sabiduría, la verdad, la visión, la comprensión, la realidad, el carácter, y la fuerza ... que debe ser comprado ... usted tiene que ponerse en el trabajo. Lo escuche decir esta semana, algo así como, “no voy a dejar de esforzarse para crecer en mi relación con el Señor, no porque tengo miedo de lo que Dios hará de mí si no lo hago, sino yo tengo miedo de lo que Dios no va a hacer a través de mí si yo no lo hago."
●Ejemplo práctico. Has estado casados desde hace bastante tiempo. Las cosas no van bien. Te sientes y hablas con su cónyuge. Ella le dice que ella no se siente amada. Tu le aseguras que si la amas ... pero ella dice que al decirlo una vez a la semana no es suficiente. Tu te alejas, porque tu no sabes qué hacer. Simplemente no es tu naturaleza de hacer ninguna otra cosa. Sigues con tu vida. Y tus luchas matrimoniales continúan. O ... te pones a trabajar.
●Tu aterriza tu teléfono, apaga el TV, toma un par de horas fuera del trabajo, cancela su juego de golf ... tu haces tiempo ... te sientes, con pluma y papel y se piensa en nuevas maneras en que puede mostrar su esposa que la amas. Haces un poco de trabajo en Google. Tu llamas a tu amigo que es un gran marido (si tienes mi número) y pide que el te ayude en haciendo una tormenta de ideas por 5 minutos! Esa lista se convierte en su plan. ¡Y una hora de trabajo cambia todo tu matrimonio!
●No, no es que usted no sabe qué hacer ... es que usted no se pone a trabajar. Es lo mismo con su camino con el Señor. Si las cosas no están donde les quieres a ser ... o si las cosas son simplemente continuamente un desastre ... , ‘Te aconsejo,’ a ir al Señor y compre algunas cosas ... poner algo de trabajar.
Apocalipsis capítulo 3 Versículo 19
●Mira, te llamo la atencion porque te amo, les dice. Esa es la razón por la que cualquiera de nosotros te llama a salir de algún tipo de pecado ... si no nos importara, te veríamos ciego y envuelto en cadenas y ¡nos encantaría dejarte allí! Y et tantos se ponen tan enojado y amargado cuando decimos a ellos, mira tienes que arrepentir! ¡Por favor! ¡Estamos tratando de salvarlo de la situación que Jesús acaba de describir!
●Proverbios 9: 8 dice que si reprendes a un sabio… ¡¡¡¡¡ TE AMARÁ !!!! Pero si reprendes a un burlador, te odiará. Se burlaron de Jesús ese día mientras empujaban la corona de espinas en SU cabeza ... ¡cuando pertenecía a la de ellos! Si Jesús permanece en ti, entonces la corrección, la reprensión será como agua refrescante helada ... puede causar dolor en los dientes ... lo que usas para masticar y desgarrar, ¡pero tan excelente y refrescante bajando por la garganta!
Apocalipsis Capítulo 3 Versiculo 20
●¡Le dice a la iglesia! ¡No a los incrédulos! ¡A la iglesia aquí que todavía Él está afuera! Y muchos vienen a la iglesia y han ido a la iglesia toda su vida y, sin embargo, Jesús permanece al otro lado de la puerta cerrada. Pero dice, me dejó entrar y voy a venir a cenar con usted!
●Creo que esto está hablando de unidad con el Señor. Intimidad y cercanía con Jesús, Dios mismo. En primer lugar hay que ser capaz de escuchar y luego usted tiene que hacer algo sobre eso ... implícito aquí por la demanda de Dios de abrir la puerta... entonces Jesús se hará a sí mismo en casa en su corazón y vida. Y si es la casa de Jesús, la casa del Rey, será lujosa.
Apocalipsis 3:21
●Me encanta esto porque lo que está diciendo es "hijo, hija, niño ... ábreme tu corazón ... ¡y te abriré el cielo!" Y también tenemos esta maravillosa clave que al venir a Él, poniendo en el trabajo y permitir que Dios abra nuestros ojos, llene nuestro corazónes y mentes con justicia y entendimiento ... que es en que estamos capacitados para superar... superar que? Nada dado ... simplemente superado ... en todos los ámbitos.
Apocalipsis 3:22
●A todas las iglesias ... a la iglesia de los Laodicenses ... a la iglesia final ... la iglesia tibia ... incluso a nosotros ... una cosa es tener a Jesús como modelo o mascota. Eso es lo que estaban haciendo en Laodicea. Es una cosa completamente diferente de tenerlo como maestro ... como comandante mía/tuyo... mi Salvador y mi Senor. Eso es lo que le está pidiendo a esta congregación ... y eso es lo que nos pide a usted y a mí.
●Que este lugar no esté lleno de personas que tengan un buen conocimiento bíblico y buenas intenciones, sino que esté lleno de personas que se den cuenta de que aunque somos pecadores que hemos fallado miserablemente, Dios ha provisto a Jesús para corregirnos ... arreglarnos ... llenar nos levante ... y nos lleve a una vida eterna y eterna ...
●Si la puerta está cerrada hoy, si el agua de su espíritu está tibia, escuche lo que dice el Espíritu ... se dirige a la miseria, la vergüenza y la pobreza ... cuando la plenitud, la fecundidad ... que dura para siempre está disponible para usted en Jesús.
